Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

SunMo

he definitely doesn't.  he's a mediocre 3/4 pitcher, nothing more.  his fastball is as straight as an arrow

incorrect....he has better stuff but hes not a better pitcher

strasburg probably has the best stuff in the history of baseball but he isnt the best pitcher ever

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

'Stuff' is another in a long line of undefinable and ultimately meaningless sports terms. Therefore I stand by my assertion that his 'stuff' is not better than Halladay's 'stuff'.

Yeah but the potential of hanson's stuff trumps hallady's proven stuff although hallady's proven stuff is actually better than hanson's potential. Stuff.

Exactly

and Hamels is pitching as well as any pitcher in the league right now. When his tempo is up and he isn't giving batters time to think about what's coming next you know he's at the top of his game.

I remember Darren Dreifort always had great "stuff."  And A.J. Burnett has always had some of the best "stuff."

Really exciting stuff.

SD

and don't forget Wayne Gomes had a lot of untapped potential

90% of the pitchers that make it to the big leagues have 'good to great stuff'. Even a guy like Kendrick looks great from time to time when his cutter is effective. If you're not consistent with it or are able to hone in on your good pitches when it matters most is what separates a guy like Halladay from a guy like Burnett.

Halladay is one of the top 3 pitchers in the major leagues. Bottom line.
