last night was an all time worst moment for me

I didn't even watch. I missed Friday and Saturday because I was out of town. But when I got in the truck last night and looked at my phone and saw they lost 7-5 after it was tied 4-4, I bet myself that Lidge blew it.

And I got home today just in time to see Jayson Werth pop out with a runner in scoring position.

On a side note, of the 6 hours of driving I did this weekend I listened to about 4 hours of MLB on Sirius and it was 4 hours of an Ed Wade clown-fest.

Callers, hosts and guests were lambasting him. Great radio.

it happens. it was poor timing. but its not a result of the overall team. its a result of the closer being washed up.

its frustrating and bla bla bla but you move on.

when they won the world series and when i started covering more sports

im much more rational and level headed. no knee-jerk OH MY GOD THE WORLD IS ENDING reactions most of the time. especially in baseball, where no matter how you shake it, this team is losing at least 65 games.

Unfortunately we're stuck with Lidge.  We all saw this coming and it ain't Charlies fault.  This is all he's got.  If only Madson were ready for the closer role......... but he clearly isn't.  As someone stated earlier maybe Worley will be the second coming of K Rod and they can fix this thing.  For now we all just have to pray the lead is big enough in the ninth where Lidge isn't needed or at least he can't destroy it.

I was thinking 8-0, 10-0, although 15-0 is probably where we'd start to feel somewhat comfortable.

just pull any guy from a slow pitch softball team. couldn't be any worse then what we get from lidge.
