MDS

its the middle of the order, grampa

vic and polanco are actually getting on. utley is farging brutal. not that they arent better without jimmy, but utley and howard and werth are the reason they arent scoring runs.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

no chance rollins' presence makes any difference in the lineup or on the field.

MDS

so youre saying utley would magically stop weakly grounding out and popping up if rollins was on first, not victorino

okay

I'm saying his offensive presence at the top of the order would make a difference unlike any that Victorino might make up there.

MDS

that really doesnt make any statistical sense

i love jimmy and he is the catalyst to the offensive, no doubt. but the phillies arent really having a problem getting guys on base. they have been horrendous with runners in scoring position and that blame falls directly on utley, howard and werth.

i realize it must be difficult to get after such a gritty, attractive man that hustles and gets his jersey dirty, but he is probably the key reason why they are in the offensive swoon they are in.

Are the Phillies a better team with Rollins in the lineup?

Don Ho

This is just shtein right now.

Todd, couldn't agree with more - Grit, Choke and Charles Manson are just pathetic right now (as I type this great throw by the Gritty one).

And farging Baez.  Please.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

MDS

no. wilson valdez and juan castro are major league players

QB Eagles

thought the team's bats were waking up just a little bit over the past week.

nope, its back to the last week of may... total aids at the plate. utley and werth are the most brutal right now. howard's been struggling but he's not even in the conversation compared to those two. ibanez and castro suck too but for them it's expected.

LBIggle

its going to be the best when the mets overtake them.  the mets.

the Phils took Germantown Friends 6'5" lefty Jesse Biddle in the 1st round.  He was an Oregon commit but says he's 100% signing w/ his favorite team...

Werth has been horrible, but at least he's hit a homer and has gotten some hits in the last 5 games. He had a double and a couple singles recently. But Chase is on a whole other level of bad right now. The only hits he's gotten recently are little bloop singles that are off the end off the bat and are total accidents. Chase is a pull hitter and always has been. He can hit to center some, but the far majority of his hits are from right center to right field. Everything he's hitting now is opposite way because he's late.

They really have no choice to put him down in the lineup because he's worse than Valdez right now. Ibanez? Don't get me started.

I'd try this lineup:

Victorino
Ruiz
Polanco
Howard
Werth
Gload
Utley
Valdez

Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.
