Long story short...he was at a bar with his girlfriend of like 100 years. A group of girls got in her face and somehow there was a fight and the girls started beating up on her pretty bad. She was on teh ground being kicked and everything. Mike tried pulling them off of her and one of them threw a bottle as his head and hit him. It broke and he picked it up and threatened them to get off of his girl or he'd stab them with it...or something along those lines (what he said).

He ended up getting assault with a deadly weapon.

he had a prior arrest when he was 17 or 18 for a barfight with a bunch of his friends.

He had a horrible lawyer who farged up the case and he got 6-8 years.

ahhh, yeah......i actually remember that story now.  i think it was either you or murp that told me that one and i'm pretty sure i was drunk at the time. 

the farged up thing with his story is that the incident itself probably wouldn't have gotten him 6-8 years.  in fact, it probably wouldn't have gotten him half of that sentence.  but since he had a prior, the prosecutor probably went to town with that one and argued the whole "pattern of violence" route or some shtein like that.

lol.....that ain't no farging joke.  in fact, most dui arrests are plea bargained down to a lesser charge.

I met Joneszilla once.  After he got locked up, we exchanged letters for a while, then he stopped writing back and after a couple more so did I.  I'd have probably stopped writing to me too, even if I was in prison.

I was wondering if his time was almost up. Thanks for posting it, PG. Jones is a hell of a guy, and he didn't deserve the royal farging that judge gave him. Not only do DUI people get less, so do killers and rapists.

that's gotta be one of the hardest things for a person to do.....to somewhat put their life on hold while their significant other is incarcerated for a long time.  i just hope that when he finally does get out, that he's able to adjust back to regular life.  7 yrs is a long time to be isolated from society.

and as someone mentioned, i hope he's able to remember his password so he can log back in and say hi.

She visits him constantly and they will be getting married when he gets out. they'd have been married with kids by now if it weren't for this clusterfarg.

I keep in touch with her often. She's sold off everything for better legal help over the past 6 years..to try to get him out earlier, to no avail.

Dio, he really stopped writing everyone. She said it was because he just had nothing to say anymore. Who wants to hear about jail, he said.

All he's done is read and lift. He's huge compared to the skinny guy he was when he went in.

Sure sure, try to make me feel better.  I prefer to think my letters just bored him to tears and he stopped responding in the wild hope I'd leave him alone.

Which is a lesson to all you fargups:  if you suckers stopped responding to me, maybe I'd quit here, too!

I remember it was my 2nd game at the Linc. Cowboys game. Cold as farg! I had met beermonkey that day and i think Phreak as well. Joneszilla supplied the crown royal and we guzzled it while trying to stay warm around a 44 gallon drum that I think Fansince56 was feeding wood into. My feet were like ice cubes. I just drank til I blacked out. Do not remember the first half and then me and my friend got in a fight inside the game and almost got kicked out. Murp and PG drove us back to their place and I somehow got on a train back to Delaware. I remember having to piss so bad on the regional line(no bathrooms) Newark was the last stop, so an hour and a half ride. I begged the ticket guy to let me piss out the door. Finally he let me and I pissed out the train door while at a stop and at that same moment an Amtrak train went flying by at prob 60 mph. I almost fell out the door. Ahh what a day...
