The Birds were real good in 92, I don't think they lost a home game. It was before the Kotite rot had really set in and the Gang Green guys retired/left town. Main thing stopping them was the Cowboys being ridiculous that year.

off the field issues killed the eagles in 1992....the disgust over buddy being fired...the way keith jackson was treated his subsequent holdout and move to miami really devastated the team...then you had reggie filing suit against the league to become a free agent which was spurred on by cheap farg bramen

the team completely despised bramen and was a broken locker room even before the season started and it just got worse after that

Great memory QB!  Weren't the birds on fire going into that game?  Didn't they end up losing like 24 -21?

Yeah, I beleive they were 4-0 and coming off the Monday Night stomping of Dallas.  In fact, if I remember correctly, they played Denver and Dallas in back to back weeks and smoke checked the crap out of both of them.....something crazy like 60-10 combined.

This pretty much sums up the 92 season.  But Reggie was with them in 92.....I forget, was that suit on going throughout the year or did it take place in the offseason?  When exactly did god tell him to go to Green Bay?

This was also the year that the Eagles went down to New Orleans and had a 2nd half comeback/demolishing of the Saints.  Heath Sherman and Arkansas Fred were farging money in that game.

It was during the 92 season. Reggie was the Plaintiff, and the NFL was the defendant, with Braman chairing the NFL Properties Committee that was the primary force fighting against the players. It's not like the acrimony between the Eagles players and Braman was new in 1992, though. It was pretty much there from the strike on, coming to a head with Buddy being shown the door and then Jackson the year after.

I thought 91 was a way worse season to go through as a fan. The whole Buddy thing was still very raw, but the team seemed championship caliber. Then Randall goes down in Week 1, and McMahon kept getting injured, and even the greatest Eagle D ever can't fix that.

I was too young to follow the offseason stuff that much and care about the drama off the field.

I read on Twitter today, Jim Trotter of SI retweeted Andrew Brandt, that the Eagles were in the running for Derek Ward as a FA last year.

Good move not signing him. Apparently he was cut by TB for being out of shape and having poor work ethic.
