The "news" about trading McNabb to the skins as a favor to McNabb isn't shocking at all.  That was being discussed within hours after the trade went down, but it was pretty much just heresay, speculation and message board fodder. 

But for Banner to publicly state that they made a decision based on emotion (favor to McNabb) rather than the best interest of the team (trading him within the division along with turning down comparable/better offers) is absolutely shocking.  He's not telling us anything we didn't already suspect.  But the fact that he is admitting it is mind blowing. 

This is the team that puts dollars and cents above all.  They have a cold, shrewd corporate approach in the way that they do business and the McNabb trade was a complete 180 from the way they normally operate.
