hartnell is overpaid but so is lupul....one of them had to go...i think the flyers just preferred to keep hartnall


pretty sure hartnell had one more fight than richards last year...two at the most...bottom line is neither are fighters...but guys who will fight...

you just think hartnell is more of fighter because he stands out by having gay hair taking bad penalties and fighting for stupid reasons...richards is business like doesnt draw attention to himself and fights to protect teammates and give the squad a spark...again watch the game instead of stuff four year olds would pay attention to

Hartnell got in 8 fights last year, 7 in reg and 1 in post season....Richards in 3. Take your own advice and try watching the games.

I wasn't calling him a fighter in the sense that Cote and Carcillo are....I was saying a guy that can score 25 goals and will still drop the gloves and bring some energy 8-10 times a game isn't something to be upset about having on your team. You only hate the guy because of his hair, so again take your own advice and stop paying attention to something 4 year olds would pay attention to.

He is slow, isn't particularly good at anything and seems like a genuinely stupid player (ie thowing gloves at people 10 feet in front of you)

I see no upside in him being around.

You need a math lesson, boy.

There's a difference between being willing to fight (which 85% of hockey players usually are), and going out there looking for a fight....I would LOVE Richards to drop the gloves more often, but with other lesser skilled guys like Hartnell being a nuisance to other teams and doing it...he doesn't have to.
