oh no doubt....hes upset because he got caught not because he killed dogs

I am in absolute agreement with this. In fact, I'll take it one step further, I don't care. (as long as he doesn't kill my dog)

as great as its been to see this guy perform, its looking like its going to be very short-lived if he keeps going head first or turning his back before hes about to get hit on the run.

not too sure who he thinks he is and what hes trying to prove, but these LB's and db's are just a tad bit stronger than him...just a tad.

Diomedes

for real

I couldn't get the idea out of my head that he was going to get himself busted in half, which would have laid out the red carpet for vigy to spend the next week congratulating  himself on predicting the injury.

Fortunately the Eagles handed off to the running back at least 5 or 6 times that game, thus reducing the risk of an injury to Vick. Unfortunately Shady only ripped off 40 and 50 yard runs and 8 ypc so maybe we won't be seeing much more that that until they improve more.

It's kind of crazy how Vick isn't afraid to lower his shoulder and take on a tackler.  I never really noticed that part of his game in Atlanta.  It scares the shtein out of me when he does it, but at the same time, I think it gets the rest of the team a little jacked up when they see him giving everything he's got to pick up yards.  He's kind of gritty.

Dillen

I can't stand the random designed run plays for him. He puts himself in a position to get hit enough as it is. In the first half yesterday there was a play where they called for a draw, or it might have been an option, on their own 40 yard line or so. Didn't like it.

He's the 6th eagles qb to be on the SI cover

Van Brocklin
Jim McMahon
Randall (x2)
McNabb (x3)
Garcia

and the 14th overall
Van Brocklin
McDonald
Vito Kab (in a loss taterskins focused cover)
Randall
McMahon
McNabb
Trotter
Owens
White
Fraley
Jamaal Jackson
Sheldon Brown
DeSean Jackson

Why the hell was Jamaal Jackson on the cover of SI?  It had to be something where they had an in game shot of McNabb at the LOS and Jackson just happened to be in the shot, right?

Todd Herremans touts Mike Vick's determination

Osi Umenyiora, Michael Vick

Three weeks ago, we were reminded of the periodic struggles of former Eagles and current taterskins quarterback Donovan McNabb during the two-minute drill.  On Monday, Eagles guard Todd Herremans made some interesting comments comparing and contrasting the late-game performances of McNabb and current Eagles quarterback Mike Vick.

"Mike seems a little more determined when he's in the huddle," Herremans told Mike Missanelli of 97.5 the Fanatic in Philadelphia.  "I guess determined is a good word for it because I would say both of them are confident when they are in the huddle.

"Donovan would always have that relaxed, kind of lackadaisical feel to him where he tried to keep a cool head the whole time.  He always thought if he stayed relaxed and didn't act like anything was bothering him that he felt like that was the best way to carry out the game.  Mike comes in the huddle and he has a look of sheer determination on his face to where he's gonna get it done. . . .

"Mike's attitude, whether it's how he carries himself, his determination or whatever, it's very contagious to the rest of the players on the field.  I think people have been able to see that when he's out there with us, we're a totally different team.  Let alone his ability but the the others players on the team, it seems they step their play up when Mike's on the field."

I wonder if Vick inspires them to take terrible penalties at inopportune times.

there are no great qbs in the league that are a lackadaisical. none. christ--even pretty boy brady looks and acts like hes about to beat his children all game

not that it was a big secret about donovan--we see it on tv, but the shtein still rubs me the wrong way when I read about it from a player--like Im expecting the opposite to be said about him or something.
