Woke up at 5:30 this morning. Couldn't get back to sleep. I'm sitting here waiting for a soccer game to start in 3 hours. Seriously there's something wrong with me.

Never thought I'd be more excited about a random ManUtd/Newcastle game than I am the Eagles season opener but here we are. That's Ronaldo for you.

My kid had his first soccer game yesterday.

His "team" lost five nil.

At on point, by sheer luck, a forward was making a promising run, with only one defender to trouble him, when he was overtaken from behind by the other forward, who stole the ball from him, immediately lost it to the defender who promptly cleared it, and then both of them walked back on defense like they were in an art museum.

12 year olds. Pitiful.

My daughters 13u spring team finished second only because they didn't get the chance to play the 1st place team. The girls hustled their asses off. The one girl will probably be on the USWNT in 10 year. She scored a hatrick every game. The one team was 4-0 never let up a goal she netted 4.

Fist fall game is Saturday but she's playing softball too so this schedule is a pain in the ass
