More rumors on ESPN Eagles still have strong interest in Boldin...

I think they should change that to, "Eagles fans still have strong interest in Boldin..."

espn insider is about as useful as the condom in Todd's wallet

And it's even worse for those who actually pay for that slop. There's a poster on the EMB who reports the posts when people post the "insider" info. And he just doesn't report it, he writes a long ass whiny note about how its copyright infringement and how he pays for it.

espn insider is basically free with a subscription to espn the mag.  or maybe it's the other way around.

either way, i had both and one point a couple years ago and found that the "insider info" was very anti-climactic.  especially when they'll usually publish the story for all to see within a few hours.

so you're basically paying to read someone's speculation a few hours before everyone else.

espn insider is decent but not for the rumor mill section...thats a complete waste of time that tries to tease people into getting subscriptions to it

i've never read a single article from espn insider that made me think "wow, that was a great read and there is absolutely no where else i could have gotten that information" after reading it.

the nfl draft stuff is awesome....as are the scouting reports on all sports...theres tons of good stats...the actual articles is not why youd read insider

that's probably why i didn't dig it then.  i dont get over involved in the draft.  don't read scouting reports either.

but even if i did, i'm sure i could find that info for free on other websites.

QuoteSource: Eagles Shopping Shawn Andrews
Posted by Mike Florio on April 23, 2009, 12:18 p.m. EDT

OK, now this is getting weird.

Less than two months after signing the brother of guard Shawn Andrews to a big-money free-agent deal and less than a week after trading for his college roommate at Arkansas (Jason Peters) and signing Peters to a big-money deal, the Philadelphia Eagles are dangling Shawn Andrews.

A league source tells us that the Eagles have contacted at least one team about moving the enigmatic Pro Bowl guard.

Shawn Andrews missed most if not all of training camp last year, due to clinical depression.  Then, he suffered a back injury in the second week of the season and never returned.

The thinking was that the arrival of Stacy Andrews and Jason Peters would have helped get Shawn Andrews rejuvenated.  Recently, it has been speculated that Shawn Andrews now isn't happy with his own contract, in light of the monster deals paid to his brother and his friend.

Andrews is signed through 2015 at base salaries of $750,000 (2009), $2 million (2010), $2.5 million (2011), $2.75 million (2012), $3.75 million (2013), $5.25 million (2014), and $6.25 million (2015).

I know it's PFT and  "league source" and all but it wouldn't surprise. After all, he has earned it by being on IR for two of his what, 5 seasons? And sat out last year because he was a headcase. I think that merits a large raise. He also gets 'value added' for getting rushed to the hospital with a bizarre neck injury that turned out to be nothing serious at all but may have cost a playoff game against the Saints.
