Yes. I couldn't wait to see this. I just got done watching it on DVR and it was great. Corben did an awesome job. It was cool seeing some of the things I'd forgotten about or things I didn't know because I was still pretty young back then.

you and me both.  especially all the stuff when schnellensdfhsdauisdauiper took over.  i wasn't even watching college football yet.  i had no clue that miami was as relevant as temple when it came to football just as little as 30 years ago.  guess i just assumed they'd always been a big time program.  they really were originators though with their brash style and swagger.

the part about them calling brian bosworth at 530am on game day and telling him they were going to whoop nebraska's ass was farging priceless.  easily one of the best stories i've ever heard.  loved hearing them talk about the fsu rap video too.  i love me some prime time, but here we are about 20 years later and dudes are still talking ish about his jehri curl.  farging awesome.

the only knock i have on the whole thing is i have no idea why the farg he gave shockey some air time.  not only did he not play during the era that was covered, but he managed to make a total ass out of himself in the 15 seconds he got with the whole bloods/crips comment.  lol.  wtf does shockey know about bloods and crips?  he's from some hick town in nebraska or some shtein.

Yeah, the Boz story was cool. And so was the camouflage and Jerome getting on stage and telling the team "lets go".

I was surprised that there was no mention of Ray Lewis, Warren Sapp, Ed Reed and guys like that.

MDS

i only caught a part of it but yea, not having ray and warren seems odd. those guys are media whores and would gladly talk about whatever corben wanted them to.

they need some kind of 30 for 30 marathon or put them all on demand or something. the next one about reggie miller at the garden is supposed to be amazing.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Any word on if it will be a DVD set?

Makes sense to do it.

MDS

yea there probably will be one

the thing that holds up dvds is music rights, and I cant remember the docs that ive seen having any kind of crazy popular music

Turner Gill leaves Buffalo for Kansas

#1 Montana vs #2 Villanova in the FCS (I-AA) title game

NW Missouri State won the D-II title after losing the last 4 championship games

For the 5th year in a row, it's Mount Union vs Wisconsin-Whitewater in the D-III title game, and Mount Union is going for their 11th title in 13 years

Prairie View A&M, which sucked worse than SMU and Temple combined for decades, won their first SWAC title in 45 years

because the show was focused on the canes from 1983 - 1992 and those guys all played afterwards.  which is really why i didn't understand shockey being involved.

also, the one other criticism i have about the piece is there was waaaaaaaaaaay too much rosenhaus in it.  i could care less if dook went to school there during that time.  he wasn't on the team so farg him.

BigEd76

he represents most of the U guys though

Sgt PSN

yeah, i get the connection, but the show was about the players and he really didn't have place in it.

big 10 wants to expand.

id obviously love to see temple in there, even though the big 10 is lame, but thats not gonna happen. most likely they poach rutgers or uconn from the big east and possibly then temple can slide back into the big east.

really depends on what big 10 wants. if they want a doormat they can take on western michigan or something.

ice grillin you

lol @ temple being in the big ten...you really are delusional

it cant be uconn....it has to be a team from a state that borders a state that the big ten is in

purdues athletic director says they arent expanding

if and when it happens i hope so much its pitt...worst part about penn state joining the big ten was not playing a rival anymore

i think its either them rutgers or missouri

What about West Virginia or Louisville?  The problem with it being an eastern team is that Michigan/Michigan State or Indiana/Purdue would be split between divisions.  Another idea:  Iowa State to tbe BigTen and TCU to the Big XII...

A quick draft note:  Washington QB Jake Locker is staying for his senior season instead of getting picked by St. Louis or Buffalo...
