QB Eagles

This past season, the Eagles were best in the NFC against the pass and second-best in the NFC against the run. Near the end of the season the defense was near-impenetrable. Johnson has his flaws, and like any other Eagle fan I can't stand seeing them lay down in the 4th quarter, but I don't much like the odds of the Eagles landing a better defensive coordinator if JJ can't go next season.

All the best to Johnson. They have yet to determine how far the cancer has spread in his system, so let's hope for good news.

That's just horrifying. Makes all of our McNabb sucks, Reid sucks bs seem awful petty,

if hes alive in six months hes done well

btw is there any doubt that if this had happened to any other team but the eagles they would win the superbowl

its kind of silly to say get well jim johnson because he will never read it nor will anyone who will ever come into contact with him

with that said it sucks and i hope he gets better.

is there anyone we can transfer the cancer to stalker or munson, then fire johnson?
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I feel bad for the guy obviously. I hope they can fight it, but when you hear malignant and spreading to other parts of the body it ain't good.

Jeez ..I hope he gets better.

Susquehanna Birder

Brutal. Considering what and where it is, there's no serious hope of survival. I bet the emphasis is on "quality of life," which means "get your things in order."

MadMarchHare

The worst part is he's not famous enough for my April 1st waiver pick.

Assuming he lives that long.
Anyone but Reid.

Butchers Bill

Obviously I hope the man is not and won't have any serious pain as he goes through this...that's just natural human compassion.

What I don't want, and this will sound really Dio-ish, but I don't want to enter the 2009 season with a "Win it for Jim" type mentality.  Especially if he's not around.  He won't be looking down from anywhere, won't be looking over the defense from above, and certainly won't have any effect on the play of the defense.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.
