Rome

We got nothing from Idalia.  It's breezy but actually it's really nice considering this is by far the hottest summer I can remember here.  Kiddo is ok in Jax too.

well, Floridians have tried shooting at hurricanes in the past so ....

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

Honestly, other than the tornado warnings (yeah, I know), it wasn't that bad here, either. Good soaker along the coast, but only an inch or two of rain here.  Honestly could have used more, as we're still in drought conditions and it's nearly September.  The rainy season hasn't been nearly rainy enough.

Fire season actually scares me this year.

Like the numbskulls here who pop rounds off in lieu of fireworks on holidays.

Glad you Florida guys are ok!

In the 20s here with icy roads. I had to shut down and send everyone home and will likely have to close tomorrow.

At least I can sleep in after staying up late for the game.

Munson

We got our first measurable snow in 650 days or something like that. First real snow day in at least 2 years too

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Rare for a tornado to hit Houston but we got one tonight.

Missed our neighborhood by a few blocks.

Over a mil without power as of a few hours ago. Thank god for generators - they're a necessity when living in TX. Not only bc of the 1900's level power grid but bc of the weather.

Rome

The high heel wearing farghead who runs this state just issued a state of emergency due to the totally normal and definitely not liberal pinko climate change related feet of rain that has soaked South Florida over the past two days.

I swear to God if I was Biden I would go on national television and offer him Bounty paper towels and that's it.  And I live here.

PhillyPhreak54

Not just offer paper towels but rather come to Florida and throw them to the people like Felonious Cheeto Dick did way back.

Geowhizzer

20 inches in parts of my county.  Flooding in the coastal areas, just wet where I am.  Looks like parts of the east coast may have gotten it worse.

Driving in it sucks.

Ol bitchass Beryl is cranking up. Should be a Cat 4 by later today. Simply amazing to have one this early and get that strong that quickly.

Too early to tell on a non-Trump-Sharpie map where she'll head but I have a feeling this is going to be a Tx coast storm.

Good thing the soon to be mother in law has a generator

There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists." - Yosemite Park Ranger

Geowhizzer

Ponied up the money (with some surprising help from the Florida government) to install hurricane shutters all around my house.  Also finally bought a generator and installed the connector needed.

All but guaranteed that there won't be a hurricane here in the next decade.

like florida is lasting a decade
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
