If Akers hits a chip shot extra point it is 20-24. I'm sure Reid was thinking that if they score another TD that puts them up 27-24, so a field goal only ties it and does not lose the game for you. Objective then -- Keep them out of the endzone. So in hindsight it probably was smart to go for 1 there, but I can't believe Akers just can't kick it through the god damn uprights from 17 yards away.

If they score another TD best they be going for 2.
