Shockingly, that's the last known picture of Corey Simon. Behold the horrors of "polyarthritis."

San Fran may have lost Walt Harris for the season already (torn ACL during a collision in practice)

QuoteJames Harrison's Dog Attacks His Son
Posted by Mike Florio on May 22, 2009, 12:06 p.m.

The son of Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been attacked by Harrison's dog, according to WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh.

Per Ari Hait of WTAE, Harrison's son was transported to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh with "severe" dog bite injuries.  The injuries reportedly are not life threatening.

A Steelers spokesman told Hait that the team is aware of the situation.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Harrison's son for a full, complete, and rapid recovery.

UPDATE:  The on-air version of the story did not mention the type of the dog.  The online version indicates that the dog is a pit bull.

I feel sorry for the kid. Kind of ironic that happened the day (or the day after?) Harrison refused to go to the White House.

sucks for the kid.  I love pits, great dogs.  Clearly James Harrison is a bad father and dog owner
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

QuoteJeremy Shockey Rushed to the Hospital
Posted May 24th 2009 6:49PM by TMZ Staff

NFL star Jeremy Shockey was taken out of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas by stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital.

Sources on the scene tell TMZ Shockey was at Rehab -- the ironic name of the Sunday pool party at the Hard Rock -- when he was found unconscious at around 2:00 PM. The call went out to the Las Vegas Fire Department and he was taken out via stretcher. Paramedics tried to cover him up so onlookers -- including a TV camera crew -- couldn't ID him.

Nfl radio said the cause was dehydration. Hmm, I gotta believe there is something more to the story.

Father Demon

I was hospitalized once for dehydration.  I came after two solid days of partying my ass of in 100+ degree weather, a concert, and other assorted activities.

I'm sure his was from lifting weights or something, though.

Ridiculously, ESPN put out a May Power Rankings

To show what a futile exercise this is, here's how the playoff teams ranked at the opening of training camp last year:

#2 Indianapolis
#3 San Diego
#6 New York Giants
#7 Pittsburgh
#11 Minnesota
#13 EAGLES
#14 Tennessee
#17 Arizona
#20 Carolina

Eyeballing it, I think the average rank comes out to #15. Pretty much the same as picking names out of a hat. Typical ESPN.

one less RB in Denver: Arrington failed his physical and was released

Rams still for sale, but now Rosenbloom has opened it up to sellers anywhere.  Opening it up for the Rams to leave The Loo.

Good.  These ass-faces don't deserve a football team.  They'll probably go back to LA, who also doesn't deserve a football team.
