i prefer a pro set offense

but in the end i dont even care if they throw it 40 times a game....it can work in the league....just get some motherfarging tools to do it with

Oh, they have tools.  They have a nail file when they need a chainsaw.

in new york we call em toolies in cali they call em gats...in philly they call them kevin curtis

the playbook is designed for 18 plays

Im having a hard time with the word simplistic...can somebody help me out?

The playbook is very simplistic... as long as you're on the opposing defense.

It's only when one of Reid's busts get exposed... that they playbook becomes "complex".

I have to admit that I'm still a bit stunned.  I can't believe Reid.  Obviously, despite wanting him kicked out and railing against his play-calling, talent evaluation, etc. etc, I have been underestimating how awful he really is, as a coach and as a man.

It's hard to get my head around what happened.  How could he possibly have done that?  It's not just that it's football stoopid, it's something more.  There's a pathology to it that I can't explain just yet, but it's some farged up shtein.

For ten years Reid has simultaneously crippled McNabb--by shoehorning him into a system for which his talents are antithetical, by starving him of talented skill players, etc., etc.-- and enabled him--by deflecting all criticism of him and ignoring his obvious weaknesses--only to betray him and their twisted relationship in this bizzare manner.

I couldn't have scripted this, didn't see it coming in the least, certainly not this way.

How can people not see that Reid is the problem with this team?

I'm not ready to call Kolb a bust after one half in which he was just tossed in there against the #3 D in the league. Part of me thinks Reid is just trying to save his ass by benching McNabb, but at halftime I remember thinking to myself I wouldn't mind seeing Kolb get a shot. One things for certain, the Offense as it stands now is one of the worst in the league - and I'm not saying they have top level talent - but they certainly are better than what they've showed the past 2 weeks. That's a reflection of the HC, the playcalling, and getting the offense up, not so much the QB

Kolb is useless and another in a long line of wasted draft picks. Watching plyers like Matt Ryan and Joe farging Flacco take the reins and perform in simplistic offenses makes me so angry at Reid and the rest of this shteinhoused organization. A second rate inexperienced QB in an overly complex offense has no chance of thriving. But Andy knows best so we have Kolb throwing passes on 2nd and goal from the 18 inch line.

Nice summary, in the beginning Reid ran the ball, stayed within the limits of his offense, and didn't make (as many) stupid coaching blunders.

I don't get it either.  This is 100% his team...from the players selected, to the coaching staff, to the plays called on the field.  There must be a direct correlation to the quality on the field, and the quality of Reid's talent as a coach and GM.  For some reason people just are not calling him out on it.  Yeah, the guy won over 100 games but you cannot ignore whats going on right now.

Which is hilarious, because if he ever had any inkling of doing so when McNabb was under center... the offense wouldn't be in this position in the first place.

farging fat farg.

the analogy is pretty good, but it leaves out the power dynamic.  Reid drove this relationship, McNabb rode shotgun.

here's my analogy:

It's like a guy gets a timid dog expecting it to be a guard dog.  He spends ten years trying to get the thing to bark, and for ten years he feeds and keeps the dog in his home, and for ten years the dog is obedient and loving.  But it just isn't a guard dog.  And then one night the guy stands up from the dinner table and makes his son shoot the dog dead in front of the whole family because it didn't bark at the doorbell.

You know the sad part is watching the coaches that used to be on this staff and how they coach pretty much the opposite of Reid.  Look at Harbaugh and Childress, not to mention the SB winning DC Spagnulo(sp?)

Childress sucks.

I agree, but then anyone with half a brain knows that its about defense and running the ball. Spags has not had a shot yet, but I hope he is the guy to take over for Reid.
