The Phillies are close to signing free-agent right-hander Chan Ho Park, according to Yahoo Sports.

The club has not confirmed or announced anything regarding Park.

Park, 35, went 4-4 with a 3.40 ERA over 95 2/3 innings in 2008, making five starts among his 54 appearances for the Dodgers.

The Phillies are expected to look at him as a starter and the deal likely will be for one year.

And speaking of disasters, the deal for DeRosa is now rumored to include JASON DONALD and Happ or Carrasco.  WTF?!?

was promoting the new 8-DVD World Series and said Reyes celebrates too much and the Mets were choke artists the last two years.  He's OK with K-Rod celebrating every save like it's a World Series win though...
