Carter takes over the NHL goal lead but the Flyers are losing 2-1 after 2

Flyers get it to a shootout and had a 1-0 lead with Carter up to clinch it........and they lose again

Gagne hit from behind, and looks like he separated his shoulder based on him skating off, or something arm related, and scrambled eggs for brains i wouldnt doubt

i know bieska is a tough customer but damn richards is fighting like a little bitch this year....hes scared to get hit or something...he used to throw with abandon....now he holds on ducks his head pokes and prods and basically does nothing

Gagne's injury is being described as an upper body injury, we'll probably know more today. Unreal that there was no call on that hit. I thought Giroux played well.

im with sb looked to def be a shoulder when he was going off...but the shoulder is a little to close to his bowl of jello for my taste

Simon Gagne's right shoulder injury is not as serious as it looked on the TV.

Just got off the phone with Flyers' GM Paul Holmgren. I am reporting on CSNPhilly.com that Gagne has a mild shoulder strain and should only miss a week. No dislocation or separation.

Good to hear about Gagne, now you just have to worry about his gelatinous noggin.  Richards dropped them as he should in that case, but he's gotta put up more of a fight.  I think he hasnt been focusing on that part of his game and its showing.

if anyone is killing time later(or DVRing it like me), at 730pm tonight, Team USA and JVR are playing Team Canada in the World Jr tourney on NHL Network.  It's in HD, and should be a good game to see if JVR brings the full effort.  He's been basically quiet, yet has a ton of points so far.

I thought JVR looked fine, don't know what all the people on FP are watching. He had 7 pts. in 3 games prior to lastnight and they said he was struggling. Tavares is unreal, the amount of NHL ready talent on the ice lastnight was unreal.
