Thanks for the great read, guys.  It was even better than reading the game and postgame threads over at thehogs.net, which is the real 'Skins board, by the way.  I think the only thing we can possibly agree on is the ridiculous degree of idiocy manifested on extremeskins.

It's really nice to see the Eagles struggle through yet another dead-end season with an anencephalic coach, no playmakers aside from 36, a predictable defense, and a QB with failing skills and even less heart.

I haven't been here since Sean Taylor's slaying, when the initial reaction was so amazingly over-the-top.  The level of inhumanity expressed was nearly incomprehensible; it's even more astounding to see the same level of base hatred being spewed 11 months later.  I had no idea it sucked that much to be an Eagles fan that individuals are forced to wallow in the true misfortune of others in order to feel better about themselves.

I guess that's why so many of you are mired, year after year, in mindless pursuits the prosecution of which requires even less brainpower than can be brought to bear by your meager intellects.  Again, I had no idea that it sucked so much to be an Eagles fan.  Your team will never win a Super Bowl, and no other fan around the league feels one whit of compassion about that.  Please don't bother to respond;  I'll probably only check in at season's end (if I remember) just to see how many of you remain to bask in breathtaking futility.

I appreciate irony as much as anyone here but the thought of a taterskins fan showing up here attempting to rub our noses in the fact that the Eagles haven't won a championship in many years is almost too much for me to take.

I wonder if he realizes it's been almost two decades since the taterskins won a Super Bowl?

Nah - probably not, especially considering he's probably only been a fan since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl.

The thing that keeps going through my head is Lurie's preseason comments. Talking about it was "pedal to the metal" and that "they were a championship caliber team". If he meant one word of that,  Reid would be out on the first thing smoking by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, is that all he gives a rats ass about is the dollars, and the dumb yuppy "please sit down", wine and cheese tailgating iceholes will continue to buy tickets and Eagles shtein, and it'll be more of the same.

I can't bear to hear or read another Reid quote about putting zesty players in better positions, or that he doesn't have to answer a question if he can't respond to it with one of his canned farging answers. This entire team laid down today, made no adjustments, and seemed completely disinterested and carefree as the game slipped away. Until there are some real farging changes, I'm not going to waste my time.

A lot of people would say that isn't being a real fan, but I don't blame you one bit. Watching 16 3 hour+ games per season, not to mention the money you shell out on the team for tickets and merchandise is a big commitment. If you don't feel they are worthy, then you are absolutely entitled. Right now they aren't giving you anything worthy of your time.

Especially after all the shtein they fed the fans in the offseason about the offense being fine after doing next to nothing to address it.
