wait a second in the prediction thread they would have no problem beating the bears with or without westbrook...people calling for shutouts and trying to make up ways the bears could score and not even being able to do that...now after the fact westbrook is the entire team?

the vaunted defense gave up three 20+ yard touchdown passes to kyle friggin orton...that was a much bigger factor than no westbrook...true not as big a factor as the complete meltdown and failure to adjust by the head coach but still...its big time revisionist history to all of sudden say westbrook being out is why they lost

btw for the most part wesbrooks been healthy for the last four years...and the team is .500 in that time...like dennis green said the eagles are who we think they are

I said I underestimated the importance of Westbrook for the game.  I also said without him they would have a tough time beating anybody, while that is a little bit of an overstatement, they definitely need him to go anywhere.

The reason they are .500 over the last four years has to do with the quarterback issues, not the running back.  We can sit here and bring up all kinds of reasons why they lost or whatever.  Bottom line is this, this team is not going anywhere if he is not on the field.  I certainly don't see how that is revisionist history.  I still think if he was in there despite all the other factors they would have won that game.  Maybe I am wrong.  At least I am not a know it all blowhard.

so westbrook is ultra important but the qb is why they have been .500 for the last four years?

so either westbrook isnt as important as you say or mcnabb is the key to the offense not westbrook...you cant say the team is great when westbrook plays then say they are a .500 team when he plays because of the qb

the bottom line is even with westbrook they arent a great team...they are a .500 ish squad with or without the great brian westbrook...and he IS great

Statisically top 10 D, #1 Run D.  Top 10 Offense.  Sucky Coach and zesty plays at bad times is why there are where they are

I think the players were good enough to win without Westbrook.  The game plan and in-game adjustments sucked major ass.

theres still a generous amount of hope that they can reel off a 5-6 game win streak...but you better win sunday...really sunday is the key to the season...

not only does it get them right back in the division mix by giving you a two game swing against a division foe but you have a pathetically easy schedule after the taterskin game thru almost thanksgiving

It's been 37 hours and I still can't believe that they lost. I farging hate Andy Reid.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i was incredulous at the time but for some reason the bears game hasnt stuck with me like the cowboy game still is...i wont get over that one for a long time

I chalked the Cowboys game up to the better team winning. This game was a farging shtein show and the more talented team definitely did not win. But the better coach won, without question.

the thing is they had the chance to win both games, and came up short one from a zesty handoff, the other from Andy Reids dumbass calls and general waterheadedness

because im not here immediately after games i would like to put in a request that someone on the board starts a (fill in opponents name) post game thread each week

that way i dont have to scroll back thru a 1000 page game thread to see where the post game talk begins

thank you

This game was worse than the Cowboys game for me, even though I completely hate the Cowboys I could deal with that loss.  For the most part that was just a good game.  This game was straight up handed to them and they couldn't capitalize.

As far as the Westbrook/McNabb thing yeah ultimately the QB is the key to the offense.  Westbrook is just the most important weapon.  When he is not out there who is there go to guy? There isn't one.

It sure as farg isn't LoBo.

Magical_Retard

or how about you need both mcnabb and westbrook healthy at the same time to be decent on offense?

pinoyboy2pt0

if reid continues to shove his stupid ass philosophy down our throats for the next year or three, we need to get at LEAST 1 more (jackson could pimp it, but looked what happened to reggie his 3rd year..) stud wr.  then all the other retard moments will be overshadowed (stopping the run when we need to, covering a TE when we need to, making the other team pass and play catch up, penalties, etc)

boldin/williams - curtis - jackson

then he can have his stupid ass playcalling and the d not being able to nut up when they need to and still win.
