Chris Clemons has 2 more sacks today

PoopyfaceMcGee

Between him and Babin, the Eagles should have had a helluva pass rush in 2009.

By the looks of it, Babin and Clemons still wouldn't have much luck against Shawn Andrews. Looks like he dropped a lot of weight. At left tackle he neutralized Demarcus Ware. Just a matter of time until he goes bonkers, goes to surgery, or goes all pro.

PoopyfaceMcGee

He obviously needed a change of scenery to get his head straight.  Hopefully Andy knows enough of his weaknesses to exploit them.  At worst the D-Lineman could talk trash about his singing voice.

When he's on his game, Andrews doesn't have any exploitable weaknesses.  He's magnificent when he's right.   And I'm in the camp that thinks he was never going to be right with the Eagles.  So fence cast kiss bottle.

QB Eagles

Raheem Brock pinched for DUI. Not really any info about it out there, but he got busted in Seattle before flying to Arizona for the game, and didn't tell the team.

And the Eagles FO foresaw this.

Giants reportedly looking into signing Kevin Curtis.

ES would explode because, as they say, he is the answer.

Munson

Dude's got good hands. If he can get open at all he can help them. I have no idea who they have after Manningham.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Who caused the turnover that gave the Jags the chance to throw a hail mary?  SEAN CONSIDINE

Hey, good for him.  He's slow and white but one of the best 64 ~96 safeties in the country.

EDIT: He didn't start for the Jags... only in on dime packages.   :deion

QuoteA grand jury has been convened to investigate allegations Troy Vincent violated federal labor laws when he was NFLPA president and has subpoenaed Vincent's deposition in a civil lawsuit, the SportsBusiness Journal reported Friday.

Vincent, who now serves as NFL vice president of player development, was deposed in September in a civil lawsuit brought against the NFLPA by former union employee Mary Moran for wrongful termination.

The government, SportsBusiness Journal reported, has served subpoenas on Moran and the NFLPA to turn over the deposition as well as other documents to the grand jury convened in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

Moran is alleging Vincent colluded with the NFL to undermine the NFLPA's position in collective bargaining and the related federal investigation.

Vincent did not return a phone call to the SportsBusiness Journal, but has denied wrongdoing. The NFL has denied allegations in Moran's lawsuit that it colluded with Vincent.

Shawn Andrews may suit up against Eagles on Sunday night

QuoteBy GEORGE O'GORMAN
Staff Writer

Perhaps it's something about mentioning the name Eagles that gets Shawn Andrews' back aching.

At least it seemed that way the other day, when Andrews had to miss a third day of organized workouts only a few hours before the Giants were to head to Philadelphia for tonight's game with Andrews' old team — the first-place Eagles.

There was some skepticism in the Giants locker room when Andrews said the surgically repaired back that eventually led the Eagles to release him last year was hurting again.

Apparently Andrews began having adverse reaction to the surgery during the Giants' drubbing by Dallas at New Meadowlands Stadium last Sunday.

It was the most action Andrews saw this season, and although he wasn't the cause for many of the offensive line's problems the G-Men encountered, he didn't help.

QuoteIn overtime, Tennessee appeared to intercept a Donovan McNabb pass, returning it to the Washington 33. As Titans were dancing and pointing at the taterskins in an extremely dumb celebration, Jason Babin pulled the helmet off a taterskins lineman and yelled at him. Personal foul, of course. Then the replay booth overturned the interception, ruling the ball hit the ground. Had Babin not acted like an idiot, the incompletion would have left Washington facing third-and-22. Instead the personal foul gave the taterskins a first down -- even if a play result is overturned, any penalties stand -- and Washington won the game on the drive. Dumb is a mild word for Babin's actions.

QuoteBrian Dawkins' run in Denver could be wrapping up

Denver Broncos v Philadelphia Eagles

Monday's night's 35-14 loss in San Diego will go down as one of the uglier games of safety Brian Dawkins' illustruous career.

He missed a tackle that led to a long Patrick Crayton touchdown, and couldn't handle running back Darren Sproles when he caught a pass and took it the distance.  After the game, Dawkins remained in the locker room long after most of his teammates had departed.
"I'm going to continue to fight. That's just what I do," Dawkins told Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post. "It's just a frustrating thing when you're out there on the field and you start thinking too much."
Kiszla believes this will be Dawkins' second year in Denver.  His original contract was essentially a two-year deal where the final three seasons easily void.  The gamble paid off in 2009, but Dawkins' play has slipped this year.
The Broncos need to get younger throughout their defense, especially in the secondary.  Dawkins, who turned 37 last month, may still have a place in the league as a part-time player if he was in the right situation.

I don't know if this quote means anything, but he is an ex-Eagle in the NFL.

On the other hand I read a blurb yesterday that Lorenzo Booker, an ex-Eagle in the UFL, boycotted his last game because of their $150,000 fee to allow their players to transfer to the NFL. This makes it that much harder for Booker to become a feature back in the NFL.
