She's almost as dreamy as the real Jeff Carter.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Baltimore makes more sense to me than AC.  AC has failed miserably in previous attempts to bring hockey there.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I definitely think for them to maintain a large base of fans, they need to stay in philly, i just dont see the Flyers Org thinking that way.

QB Eagles

QuoteThe Philadelphia Flyers announced that they open their 42nd National Hockey League season on Saturday, October 11, against the New York Rangers at the Wachovia Center. In addition, the National Hockey League announced that the Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks will be the Flyers' interconference "at-large" opponents this season. The Flyers will play each of those teams twice, and every other Western Conference team once.

The complete 2008-09 schedule will be released on Thursday, July 17 at noon.

Desjardins is back as a "player development" coach

QB Eagles

Clarke offered Desjardins a coaching job immediately after he retired, but he turned it down. I guess he's had enough time off now.

DH

The NHL today will release its '08-09 regular-season schedule, in which the league will "return to the schedule format it employed" in '03-04. Teams will play "24 games against their four divisional foes (compared to 32 the past three seasons), 40 against the rest of the conference and 18 against the other conference." The season opens October 4-5 with a "pair of two-game sets in Europe" featuring Senators-Penguins in Stockholm and Rangers-Lightning in Prague
