I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Didn't realize football was only about him

Edit: To clarify, what I'm frustrated with is the fact that he came back, and then proceeded to start playing like he didn't give a farg. Either come back and play hard and make the Eagles FO look like idiots for not giving you the money, or hold out until you get the $$$$.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

From the above article regarding Jason Garrett's clock management on Sunday  :-D

QuoteAn acquaintance from a fantasy league I belong to tried to console owners of teams that had been eliminated from the playoffs with this thought: "It could be worse! You could have a bomb strapped to your chest set to go off and the 2 man bomb squad who's got to save you in 90 seconds is Andy Reid and Jason Garrett."
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

A ray of hope

QuoteFor DeSean Jackson, this was a season of growth. More as a person instead of a player.

Jackson let his desire for a contract extension affect him this season, and for that he's sorry.

"I can admit to certain things affecting me during the season. I just kind of want to apologize or whatever the case may be," Jackson said after the Eagles finished their lost season with a 34-10 rout of the taterskins (see story). "I probably could have handled it a little different, but now sitting here after the season's over, I can just say I was able to put it behind me and really just fight for my teammates. Fight for this organization – just really knowing something good out of this situation was going to happen. I was able to finally get to that and just move forward. We'll see how it plays out."

Will Jackson return for a fifth season with the Eagles? He hopes so.

"I don't know if I'm going to be here next year or not," he said. "It's kind of out of my control, out of my powers. I hope that I'll be here. The guys on this team, the fans, it's home for myself, so we'll see how it plays."

Would the franchise tag be OK?

"Why wouldn't it?" Jackson said.

"Hey, it'd be all right. God's got a plan, brother. I'm going to roll with it."

With so many holes to fill, it would be so much easier to tag or re-sign him than to try and find an adequate replacement.

hbionic

Adequate replacement? Is there such a thing when speaking of Desean? I'm hoping for a tag-then-resign with Jackson and we can all move forward.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

God has a plan and evidently that plan involves us going half centuries and beyond without a title.

Thanks, God!  Love ya, babe!!

DeSean had about as bad a season as possible and still got nearly 1000 yards and 4 TD's. Gotta have him back.

Diomedes

Agreed, but I'm not sure the two parties are going to make that happen.

Oh, so he did.  I'm sure they'll work it out now.  No way they could still be wildly apart on numbers now that he's been humbled.
