Tapir was a huge part of that.  She spent well over $1000 real money, and started making "requests" to JB - like customer weapons, custom housing, etc.  Then, because she had between $250 and $500M in the bank at any given time, she was making huge interest and funding her closest friends with housing.  Add in that they would then let their friends in to train at these new digs, and people were "juicing" left and right for stats.  I know a guy from another gang had enough of her crap, and decided he had more money than pride and bought his way to the top of the stats, and started putting her in the hospital.  That's when she started the "I'm quitting on the 30th because people think this game is real" routine.

What's funny is that I think this whole hacker thing was more about Tapir, Mistress V, and ShieldBreaker (the three that thought it was their job to police the game, and create "unwritten rules" that others were to live by).  They all thought they were the shtein, but based on a lot of fan mail I received after the Tamra scam and my new sig, I'd venture they had a lot more enemies than people thought.  One of the first things the hacker did was change Tamra's password, keeping her out of the game.  Then, in the chat last night, there were a couple people in there with fake names such as "Tamra's smelly vagina", "Tamra's cooch stinks" and "Tamra's private odor".  I think someone really had it for her, and poor old JB was the friendly fire.

At one point, JB offered $50 paypal for the hacker to show himself, and tell how he breached the system.  About four or five people started calling him out with "You made thousands from this game, and you offer $50 to reclaim your little kingdom??" -- it was getting ugly.  And I couldn't stop watching it - just like a train wreck.  Then I got banned from the chat for asking Mistress V if she was pissed because the game was broken, or if it was because someone was screwing her lesbian lover, and it wasn't her with the huge dildo.  I'm pretty sure that was the one that did it.

I hate myself for giving a shtein about this whole thing.

Actually, yeah you do if you're still playing the game.  I enjoyed the game much better after I started chatting on a regular basis.  You learn a lot more about the other players and how the game works, who's doing what, etc. 

Also, the people who play that game are so farging stupid that any CF poster, and I do mean any, would be considered a comic genius in that chat room.

I got greedy and bought a private island.  I'm guessing that JB then looked into my account, and found over $700B in stolen cash.

I had almost 20 will potions, 800 crystals, and tons of cash.  I wish I had a chance to give it all to Sarge before I was banned.

I did the private island, trained my butt off for a while...and when JB gave the warning, I sold off, bought the property one level higher than I started, and then sent JB the leftover cash.

I figured that in all the mayhem, I would appear to do the right thing, and still benefit somewhat from the whole debacle. So far, no problems.

Pretty much the same thing.  I sent almost all of it back except for $500B (which seems like a lot, but when we're talking what ever is past a quadrillion I sent back, it's a drop).  The problem is, I suspect that Tamra saw I had the property, and alerted JB.  He then looked into my account, and saw all that cash.  All speculation.

Anyway, I just donated $10 yesterday, so I'm asking for a refund from him.  It seems fair to me.

I still haven't heard anything else from JB so I'm still soaking up the benefits of having the island.  But yeah, it'd be nice if I had Demon's cash, crystals and potions. 

Also, after the hack JB decided to delete all of the accounts that had been inactive for over 30 days so I can't rob Dio or SunMo anymore.
