Finished my semester on Friday, I now officially have 214 college credits.  :-D and still have 39 to go.

Physics kicked my ass this semester.

Kudos fellas. You are my men who make me cross the street and check for my wallet.

So my employer asked me to go back and get my CPA and I'm about half-way through the Certificate program and now they say they don't want to pay for classes right now because the economy stinks.  I think I might just take a break and get some other self-study designations and wait for them to pay again.  If I was eager to leave my employer I might just pay for it or use my Guard educational benefits, but I just might wait.  Also, there is an assistant Deputy Commissioner job that will be opening that would not require a CPA and I think might be a good fit.

Congratulations to others on their bachelors and masters.

I managed to get my grade point average up to 3.01

Also...I think I'm going to go into Astro Physics. Which means I have to start taking calculus and physics classes. Before I can take pre-calculus, I have to take Plane Trigonometry.

These next few 10 years should be fun.

I got a B in Physics this semester, I was never more excited for a B in my life.

How was it? What should I expect?

Well if you are rusty on your math I suggest brushing up on that.  I worked my ass off and went to a lot of tutoring.  I hadn't had any sort of math in over 7 years which definitely hurt me.  The best piece of advice I can give is just don't get discouraged and put in the work.  I have Physics II this semester which supposedly is a little easier than the Physics 1 that I just took.

I hate math and don't envy either of you.

hbionic

I'm looking forward to it. Math is one subject that without practice, you are screwed...but the physics...it interests me to kick ass in it to get me to the next level.

One way or another...I'm going into low earth orbit before I die. This might be the way.

DMF, I just finished statistics...so actual arithmetic...I am really, really, rusty on. I'll take your advice and practice. I don't know what to expect with Plane Trigonometry. Death?

I haven't had trig in over 12 years, it is definitely needed for physics and it was something that gave me difficulty.

Study that. Plane trig that is absolutely retarded, I'm pretty sure there's no easy way around it. Table of integrals = shoot yourself. Math sucks.

farg. Apparently I also need another math class before I can take the physics class. Jesus....why was I such a farg up in school when I was young.

I doubt it was that bad.  I bet your beaner ass got an A in wood shop.

This is meant as both a racial stereotype and gay pun.

Raised my GPA to 3.10 by busting a 3.66 this semester

A in Nutrition for fitness (I would laugh, but this was almost like taking a masters program, 1 research paper, 3 other papers, a group presentation, a website, and 3 exams) farg this course.

A in World Religions- Recommend that class to anyone

B in Trigonometry. I did pretty much no homework, slacked off and managed to get a B in this course. What an interesting farging class it was...I have much respect to Math dorks...they make this shtein look easy...but with a little work...it wasn't too bad.

Highlights:

-Due to my participation and though provoking questioning in the Religions class...I was nominated by the professor and received an award as 1 of 100 students out of the whole student population to be nominated for an award in a specific category. Mine was for philosophy. It was a nice surprise

-Got enough credits for my A.S. Degree (15 years in the making)

Next stop, pre-calculus and physics (hopefully)
