The taterskins are expected to go with a full fledged West Coast offense under new coordinator Jim Zorn.
While Zorn has a history of success with QBs, the taterskins are taking a big gamble here. Jason Campbell finally began to grasp Al Saunders' vertical attack before getting hurt in 2007. The West Coast offense deals with words, while Saunders' used numbers, so the language will be totally different. Campbell will be learning his eighth different offense in his past ten years

While I want to laugh at the unmitigated idiocy of all things taterskins, I have to admit I thought last year the Giants would probably be going into free fall, what with everyone hating Coughlin, losing Tiki, Strahan etc.  Then again Washington is at whole other level, where the word incompetence is  inadequate.

also the one big criticism of the offense was that it didnt go down field enough

ESPN's John Clayton reports the taterskins are not expected to offer Steve Mariucci their head coaching job.

Clayton fully expects Jim Fassel to be named to the position next week, although owner Dan Snyder still has to interview Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Actually the biggest story of the day is that the fans are infuriated that Monk and Green made it but Sean Taylor was snubbed. I could see this oversight while he was alive, but at this point it becomes a travesty.

For the final time, I maintain that Art Monk is not a HOF player, and certainly not moreso than Derrick Thomas or fellow WR Cris Carter. He's a borderline case that been let in because he's such a nice guy and people felt bad for him to be shot down so many times.

Next year you gotta like Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, and Shannon Sharpe for the Hall on the first ballot. Carter or Thomas also.

I think that Monk gets overlooked now because he was at the front end of the WR revolution. His numbers, at the time, were all-time great stuff. Now in retrospect they aren't that great. But he was the offensive glue for 2 superbowl teams. Anyway, I have no problem with him being let in.

Also, happy to see Zimmerman make it. He was dominant and offensive linemen have a hard time getting recognition.
