actually thats a misconception. newspapers sell a lot better the day after an eagles win than a loss. generally when things are bad people dont want to read about it, they want to express their anger to cataldi and eskin (two enormous hacks in their own right) on 610. that shtein works for the awful medium known as sports radio, not for newspapers.

That would be accurate if newspapers sold was the only measure of financial success for media companies. How about website hits? How many hits did that fat slob's article create on phillyburbs.com? How much more can they charge advertisers on the site with those increased hits?

I used to like hearing Eckel and Rhea and the likes get all riled up about Spads. They'd drone on for awhile about how he's a homer and he sugar coats it all and blah blah blah.

All I know is I'd kill for Spads' job. He's got maybe the best job out there.

Every aspect of his job is awesome except for the part where you can't say anything bad about the Eagles. And that's enough to make me never want to do it.

He get paid handsomely to cover the Eagles and gets inside access to everything about the team that we all love and have followed since birth.

what inside access does he get that you crave so much...i dont ever wanna talk to an eagle player or coach and i certainly dont wanna talk to the part of the eagle fanbase that calls his show and posts on his site....i could care less about hanging out at novacare or in the dorms at lehigh....

i do however want free tickets to the games

as far as im concerned the rest is stalker type shtein...plus i bet i make close to as much as he does and i dont have to put up with the shtein

yeah matty i totally forgot about that sources thing...which might have been the most ridiculous part of he whole thing...he literally said one time "i just dont like unmaed sources"...al or someone was like watergate wouldnt have happened without unamed sources...unamed sources are one of the foundations of journalism

you know that he knows he's a company PR guy and not a real journalist. he lost every battle in the debate but was still able to joke by the end, i actually think he did pretty well considering he had no chance.

cooney didn't say more than 3 sentences. i guess it takes a lot of energy when you're that obese.
