I'm sick of ESPN airing these farging spring training games that mean shtein all the way through NFL live.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I do not want Lito and a pick being traded for Torry Holt.

period.

Cant really see Tory going anywhere just for the fact that the Rams would go into the season with Drew Bennett and Dane Hooker as their starting wideouts. Unless the Birds give away a receiver--which they will not, that trade rumor is bye bye

Also, if you looked on all the injury reports last year week in and week out, Holt was on there. He even came out publicly during the year and said he doesnt know if his knee will ever be the same again. Although an upgrade to any Eagles receiver now, he's not a guy you want to give big dollars to as his career "could be" taking a downward turn--yes, even at 31 Munson.

Funny, because he was drafted to help stop Torry Holt.

So to summarize today;

WIP arguing
Fitz is close to a deal
Wait! Fitz isn't close to a deal
Roy Williams is or isn't on the trading block
SPikes is gone
The Eagles will draft an OT in the first, most likely a guy who they could have had at 19 but traded Lito and 19 to the Pats to get to 7 to take said OL.

From Kearse's press conference:

QuoteIt was like I was lost for a minute.  I was away from home.  This is my home, so I took a vacation or something.  But my stay in Philly, it was different.  I'll say, when I went there, they were a team that was on the verge of winning a Super Bowl and everything like that.  So it was a win-win situation, although the scheme, the scheme was not for me. The scheme was not for me, just sitting wide-footed in the two-gap stance in front of the tight end doing a lot of reading, when I started off just moving, getting off the ball, going to the ball, being aggressive, going to the ball, not reading and then reacting.  I'm used to just doing what I do.  Then, when I was there, I wasn't able to do that because it was just part of the scheme.

They are fanatics up there.  I can't put a finger on it.  It is just different up there.  I explained to everyone from playing in Tennessee, where the team moved here to Nashville, you can go out there and play your butts off and play a good game and lose and the fans will still be proud of you.  We have next week.  We have next year.  We have tomorrow.  Up there, you can play your butts off and do whatever, but if you lose the game, it is like you didn't do anything.  It is like you went out there and everyone took a knee and let the team do whatever.  The expectations up there are just crazy, whereas around here they are a little more lenient on you which is alright but then again you have to take it upon yourself as a player and give them what they want.

ice grillin you

Boo-fargin'-hoo. Did Kearse limp out of the room halfway through the PC and then come back two minutes later?

PhillyGirl

Yeah, because Titans fans don't give a shtein. How long have they HAD a team there?

They don't even understand fandom.
"Oh, yeah. They'll still boo. They have to. They're born to boo. Just now, they'll only boo with two Os instead of like four." - Larry Andersen

Magical_Retard

i dont even think he is dissing the eagles fans. just explaining the difference. if anything he dissed the titans fans.

about the scheme...don't know too much except i do know he was almost always hurt. whenever it seemed he was at least half way healthy he did show flashes but then it would go away right away.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Munson

I'm still pissed about him tearing his knee up in that Giants game. The line had the potential to have 2 guys with double digit sacks that year had he not gone down. He was already up to what, 5.5? farg.

I know a few Titans fans. Even though the team hasn't been around forever, the fans aren't as crappy as, say, Bucs fans. But it's clear that the primary allegiance down there is to the Volunteers. That's a problem with southern NFL teams in general.

PhillyPhreak54

Johnson did not use him right, so his comments are not shocking at all.

Everything else is standard athlete speak.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
