Give him a break, he's never seen the turf at Penn State.  The guys at the Linc should be on their knees begging the Penn State turf-grass guys to give them a clue.

i'm pretty sure that, because of the unicorns, not much really has to be done to the magical linc grass.

The new ones have a massive layer of sand and gravel under the grass with plumbing underneath that.  They actively pump the water out.  The problem at the Linc isn't the drainage, it is the turf itself - they are trying to put all kinds of fancy hybrid grass-synthetic crap to help it hold together, but nothing beats a good thick root base.

I don't think I've ever seen the turf at PSU torn up.  I've seen players get wet and muddy but the grass simply doesn't come apart.  The truly amazing thing is the parking - thousands of cars parked on grass which also holds up amazingly well.

So the only way you will accept the fact that the Linc is different than your front yard is if someone can explain everything that is different and exactly HOW it's different? Haha(ha). Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?

Sounds like Rome got some ass for the first time in weeks and now feels like he's too good for a message board.

got ya. thanks for the info. i agree totally no grass is going to stay unless its matured well. i landscaped for 13 yrs so i know a little about this.

your right about penn state. ive been there more than the linc. the thing is they don't have another team playing there the day before though either, which helps.

Hoydas.

Wahh, it was slippery.

Its a wet farging grassy field. You slip. Wear the right farging shoes for wet grass.

Getting fake fields to protect Hoyda athletes from slipping on wet grass. Yay.  ::)
