yea its kind of depressing to see guys that were once elite on their last mediocre legs. dawkins, akers, trotter last year....i mean, the run was over when that farging fat icehole punted on 4th down against the saints.

He might have a future a la Morten Andersen, but the Eagles have to stop putting him out there for 50+ yarders, unless he has a swift wind at his back.

Akers did hit a 53 yarder this year. Akers hasn't looked the same this season, but it is far from a need.

Man, I don't know if we need pressure on the QB more from a DT or DE or a DB that can cover.

on both of those touchdowns we are all over cooley.  on the first one where lito hesitated, it was for cooley, who already had 3 guys on him.

on the second touchdown, mikell came in late to cover cooley on a curl (making four covering cooley) and sheldon had no inside/deep help.

i think our need may be db.  if we can have 1-2 guys cover cooley instead of 3-4 guys, both of those touchdowns don't happen, let alone william farging james covering thrash and joselio farging hanson on special teams.  i hate to admit though, i think trash is a good special teamer, but nothing more that that.  and we're looking him look like jerry rice out there.
