Im still waiting for the blurb to pop up that Eddy boy trades Andre Miller for....

I really thought the hype on him by Ed in the papers was to up his trade value. Now Im starting to believe he really likes him for the future..which is strikingly odd. Keeping him does the Sixers no good long term. The older he gets, the more flat-footed he becomes. I

Can't even get the inbound pass in to tie the game. Good loss.

Dillen

Young got another start at PF. Him and Williams both had real good games.

wtf?

he hasnt left the ground since 8th grade

im not saying you shouldnt trade him but hes the kind of guy that can make a team and individual players better for a few more years...he has limited athletic skills but hes knows exactly how to make guys around him better and he can do this till around 2010 if the team so chooses...not to mention in that time he could also groom a young point guard...its just to bad that it isnt happening right now with rajon rondo or mike conley

I was hoping for maybe a trade of Willie Green for an expiring contract and a pick in the draft

That would give us about $25 million in cap space, rather the $10 million. $10 million is no chump change but still I thought Ed might make a move. Pick up a big man in FA and it would at least give us an opportunity to maybe get a guy like Calderon for the $9-10 million mark

This was all of course a sucker would take the trade above for Miller to be on a contender that could go somewhere in the playoff this year

That's what we all hope for, but no one should be stupid enough to expect that.

3 games in 4 days coming up. Atlanta, Washington and Miami. Getting out 1-2 would be nice, 0-3 even better obviously.

8 games out of last place.  They're bad but not bad enough.

Every team beneath them in the standings is at a minimum -4.5 in points differential.  Sixers are at -2.0.  They need to either start missing shots, stop playing defense or a healthy combination of both.  Losing games by an average of 2 pts/game is waaaaaay too close.

Some might say that losing on purpose could be bad for a team's future, you know?

Lost to Atlanta. Nice.

Young had 11 points and 6 boards in 29 minutes. Nothing special. He had 4 of his shots blocked though, it seems it happens to him a lot.

Lou played 20 minutes vs Miller's 40. Against Atlanta. Not the time to be playing your best vet player.

Josh Smith had 19 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 9 blocks.

The 1st quarter was awesome to watch though

Dillen

Sixers vs Wizards right now, losing 56-49 at the half.

Young has 7 points and 5 rebounds. Miller has 9 points and 10 assists.

Seabiscuit36

not sure if its worth noting but I heard on 950 that there are rumors Andre Miller for Heinrich from the Bulls?

sixers down by 12 with 8 minutes left go on a 23-6 run to finish the game...interesting thing was they did it with the athletes...sweeet lou thad iguodala carney and reggie or sammy...man do the sixers have some unreal theletes if they could just pair them with a shooter and a pf they could make some noise in the next year or two...not sure if it was due to injury or mo wanted to put the kids out there but miller sat the last 9-10 minutes of the game

fun shtein to watch...tons of forced turnovers and fastbreak points...thos slashers they have can really finish at the rim

they had a shooter in Korver and it makes you wonder if the cap room they gained was worth it to give him up.  he was definitely a luxury for a rebuilding team to have, but his contract wasn't crippling and we might look back in a few years and say it was a mistake to have traded him.
