perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You know what? I think you made a really good point there. Seriously. Stallworth, wasn't really what everyone made him out to be. Owens, is obviously fantastic. But Curtis is pretty under appreciated. You know?

Curtis has been pretty good this year but the offense has been so inconsistant and therefore, so has his production.  Atleast 30% of Curtis' stat line comes from the Detroit game.  Granted, he and McNabb are only in their first season together but lets not fool ourselves into thinking that Curtis has been putting up numbers all year.

Stallworth started off slow in NE but over the last few weeks has steadily improved his stats and has become a bigger part of the offense up there.  He's also the #2 reciever up there so he's not going to get as many balls thrown his way, especially playing opposite Randy Moss.

I like Curtis but I think that if Stallworth were still here, he'd probably have better numbers than Curtis right now and they would be more evenly spread out too.

Rome

Stallworth has Moss & Welker as teammates.  Of course he's going to have less catches than Kevin Curtis.

curtis is a fine wr hes just not a #1 and thats what he is on the eagles...and simply put hes just not as good as donte stallworth

i dont know whats so hard to understand and why people feel the need to make curtis into something more than he is...they should have signed stallworth AND curtis and all would be fine

All would not be fine, this team would still be about as mediocre as it gets, but at least the WRs would be better.

with wr's who can get open they would have beaten gb wash and chi...not only can stallworth get open but hed allow curtis to be going against #2 and 3 corners which would allow him to get open...it would also allow them to stretch the field...all this would mean more points which is all they needed to win those three games

win those three and the eagles are 6-1....not of the belief theyd win the taterskin game?...which is a fair point...then they still are 5-2 and in good shape

you win in the nfl by scoring pts...stallworth (or any other quality wr added to this team) would make a huge difference in that area

You are simply not correct.  If you honestly forget the skin color and look at production and skill sets and the amount of time each of them tend to spend in the training room, Curtis is simply every bit as good.  Stallworth is no more a #1 than is Curtis.

The real problem here is that the thinking was that Reggie Brown might take the next step up and be the #1 or at least take a ton of pressure off of Curtis.  Hasn't happened.

The fact is that there are very few "#1" WR's in football, by your definition:
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Reggie Wayne
T.J. Houshmandzadeh?
Plaxico Burress?
Larry Fitzgerald?
Roy Williams?

Curtis is a very good player and the least of the Eagles problems.  As rjs said, the team would not be Super Bowl contenders if they had Stallworth instead or even if they had both of them.

curtis scares no one....no one is game planning or moving safeties to his side of the field like they did for stallworth last year...you just dont know football if you think kevin curtis is as good as donte stallworth...i dont know what else to say

and if its about color then why is kevin curtis better than reggie brown?

and curtis is very good...a very good 2 or 3...depending on whos across from him

Donte is certainly a notch better when he's actually on the field.  It's hilarious that you're not factoring in that he often is not.

So, you're saying Curtis is a better player than Reggie Brown?  You're ready to go on the record with that?

ice grillin you

yeah hes better than reggie brown...who the hell is reggie brown?

curtis isnt way better or anything but if im forced to pick one i give curtis a slight edge

in the last 52 games curtis has played exactly three more games than stallworth
