QuoteThis is a game between teams desperately in need of a victory, and a game with a lot of very interesting matchups. The Eagles offense, as we all know, has struggled putting the ball in the end zone. In this game, on paper, the Eagles go against a Vikings defense that is extremely difficult to run on, but that is vulnerable to the pass. So if you buy the on-paper theory, the Eagles have to throw the football and execute the passing game to put points on the board and win the game.

Defensively, the Eagles have to slow Peterson, who is simply an awesome talent. You can almost guarantee that he will get 25 carries and challenge the run defense on every carry. He is big and powerful and fast and elusive and he sees things developing before they happen. He is a special player so early in his professional career.

got me thinking...is there anyway childress does not out coach reid this sunday? i mean technically he is from the same mold and runs the same offense but t. jackson is horrible and they have no WRs and a good running game (similar to our current offense)....the only diff is that they will run all day and the eagles will be passing all day. its sad cause i do not think childress has been doing that good of a job in minn but i am sure he is going to draw on his experience with the eagles and know exactly how to counter anything they throw at his team...whereas reid i doubt will be able to gameplan around the fact he knows childress and what he likes to do.

nope. Spags knew how predictable he was and his inabilitiy to make adjustments and exploited it, Childress will do the same.

unless McNabb plans on having an all-pro day (which he hasnt done since the Lions game), this game might not break the teens in scoring again...if that

The Vikings D will move from #4 against the run to #1 after Sunday since they'll only have to stop about 6-8 rushing attempts.

The Birds defense, while playing well so far minus a couple of minutes, is not built to stop a rushing attack similar to the one Minnesota is going to come with on Sunday for four quarters. The are going to run the ball a whole lot with a healthy Taylor and Peterson. Their big o-line will have completely worn out the Birds front four by halftime. If McNabb isn't razor sharp, and odds are he won't be, the Eagles lose this one. The Vikes front four can pretty much stop anything the Birds try to do in the running game, and you know Childress will have a good gameplan to counter Reid's ultra-predictable passing game. Peterson is going to have a great day.

Um....yes.

They are the same person, except one weighs twice as much.

Do you know how many carries Adrian Peterson had in the 2nd half last week? 6

Do you know how many carries Peterson had in the 4th quarter? 1

Vikes have noob Qb(jackson) that blows and Childress is holding peterson back most of the time. Birds should win this one( :paranoid ). Coaching is push both sides sucking like Crackwhores needing a fix. Look for faggy gadget plays and on-side kicks. It should be fun to watch unless you're a fan of either of the teams.

that has way more to do with taylor being healthy...minnesota was down the majority of the second half and ran it 13 times...the eagles were tied or up the entire second half and ran it 7 times

in fact the two coaches are pretty much opposites

the fact that Childress laid out the blueprint the very week before and Mandy still called plays they way he did is a farging joke.

i always believed that childress was not happy with the offense here, aside from the whole TO talking down to him. he doesnt have a great QB in minn so it might be the reason but he seems to have built a great offensive line (like reid always wants to) and then used it to its strength...the running game.

and the vikings defense is what the eagles defense is not. eagles D might not give up many points but they dont get off the field much either and have very few turnovers. minn D seemingly always finds a way to score a defensive TD.

ive been picking the eagles to win every week this season but after last week and constant failure to coach/play im going to say eagles lose this game 17-7.
