Yeah, but those 100+ rushing yards buy Jones were an 'invisible 100+ rushing yards'. At no point during the game was I afraid of their rushing offense...or passing offense for that matter. Over the course of the game he managed to get over 100+, but it wasn't Tiki-esque.

I continue to observe that the Eagles just aren't very good.

I wasn't at the bar yet to watch that part.  :paranoid

I believe that we can lock this thread now.

In the first qtr yesterday, Jones carried the ball 8 times for 82 yards (10.25 ypc).  For the rest of the game he had 16 carries for 48 yards (3.0 ypc).  So after getting burned early by the run, especially after Jones' first four carries (36, 11, 12, 10 yds), they pretty much clamped down on him after that.

Also, Eagles runningbacks had 26 total carries.  Westy had 20, Buck had 4 and Hunt had 2.  I'd like to see Buck get at least 7 or 8 carries a game but would like to keep Westy right around 20.

But really, other than the lame play action call on 1st down to open the game and the call to pass the ball from the endzone in the 4th qtr when McNabb got intercepted, I do have to give Reid a little kudos for drawing up what was a pretty good game plan.  He made the right decisions most of the day and had a few of the plays been better executed by the players then the Eagles win that game in a laugher.

This is one of the few times in the last 4 years that I really have no major criticism for Reid after a game.  And that really pisses me off.

ILLEAGLE

I've just got a sickening feeling watching this team this year. (relax, I'm not in the mood to elaborate.)  One of the few moments that made me remember I had a pulse was Westbrook making Vilma fall down go boom.

I blame the first series running on bye week rust. :paranoid

I don't know why they use Buck so little.
If they don't trust him, then why is he on the roster? If he can play, then why not give him some carries?
He seems to be a decent RB to me. Westbrook does not need to run every 3 yard inside hand-off, or block every blitzing LB.

Sgt PSN

Over the last 2 years, Buck has become one of my favorite players.  And that says alot because I wasn't a big fan of his when the Eagles drafted him and especially when he kept hurting his knees.  But I am seriously in awe of how he's come back from like 3 major knee surgeries and is able to run as strong as he does, is as fast as he is and can still make cuts the way he does.  I probably comment on it during every game thread but I can't help it.  It just shows the type of determination dude has.

QB Eagles

Westbrook is one of only four NFL RBs averaging more than 100 rushing yards per game. And unlike the other three guys, he has over 250 yards receiving on top of that. He seems like a threat to break out any play, so I can't really complain about him stealing touches from Buck.
