The Eagles have two #2's, as I've said all along.

Acutally, they have one no.2, and a no. 3.

And don't even try to say the no. 3 is Curtis.

Reggie Browns numbers are pretty on par for an average #2 WR...he's def a #2, not a #3.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I don't know which is more impressive: Brown's inability to create separation or PhillyCrew's ability to find this thread.

Kevin Curtis was on the cusp of having #1 numbers last year. That doesn't mean he's a true #1 WR. I watched the games. Brown was sucking bigtime out there in most of the games. He turned it on a little bit near the end of the season.

this is true

someone has to make catches when everyone sucks....id say the eagles are a lot closer to having two # 3's than two number 2's

I watched the games too. Everyone knows he started off slow and picked up as the year went on. But so did the rest of the offense...it took McNabb getting back into a comfort zone.

Reggie Brown+Kevin Curtis > Kyle Kendrick?

Honestly, it was all about McNabb.  He was ineffective with the bum knee, and as he got closer to 100%, he showed that (well, shtein, who'd have thunk it?) he's a pretty damn good quarterback.

A healthy McNabb all season means this team makes the playoffs, for whatever that's worth.

If Reggie Brown were a free agent this year on another team, would the Eagles have picked him up?

PoopyfaceMcGee

No.  They would have said he wasn't a significant upgrade over what they already had (Baskett, Avant).

Something that seemed to be lost on a lot of people around here last season.

Me included.

That said, he really shouldn't have been playing last year until mid-season.
