Spuds told the truth. That list was wrong. Ian Scott made the team, and Barksdale and Gaddis both were cut:

Wide receiver Jeremy Bloom and punter Dirk Johnson were among the 22 cuts the Philadelphia Eagles made on Saturday to get to the league-mandated roster limit of 53.

Here are the other 21 players released: cornerback Rashad Barksdale, fullback Jeremy Cain, wide receiver Zac Collie, linebacker Tank Daniels, fullback Jason Davis, cornerback Dustin Fox, safety C.J. Gaddis, wide receiver Michael Gasperson, safety Erick Harris, center Jasper Harvey, guard Jacob Hobbs, defensive tackle Mauricio Lopez, running back Nate Ilaoa, defensive end Marques Murrell, wide receiver J.J. Outlaw, tackle Jonathan Palmer, linebacker Dedrick Roper, defensive tackle Jeremy Clark, wide receiver Bill Sampy and tight end Lee Vickers.

EDIT:  In all honesty cutting Barksdale doesn't make sense.  He played well considering where he was picked and how well he played.  I doubt he makes it past waivers.   I think they made a mistake there.  At most he'd have been a good nickel corner.

Jordan made it over Daniels. If you are going strictly by preseason then it was the right move. Tank sucked bad in the preseason.

Agreed. Looks like Nick Graham makes the team. Graham isn't a bad player but I don't see the point of picking Barksdale when you know he's a project and then not trying to develop him.

Also it looks like Paschal made it over Gaddis. Don't get that either. They were relatively the same throughout the preseason and Gaddis has tons more athletic ability than Paschal, while they knew he was a bit raw and still needed work.

Gaddis and Barksdale are head scratchers. I'm sure Gaddis will make it to the PS for this year, not sure about Barksdale though, I thought he played well enough to make it. Who's returning punts now? They should have worried less about Bloom (unless that toe is a bigger deal than they let on) and work on the farging blocking which sucks again this year.

they needed to give Bloom a shot with a special teams unit that actually blocks someone.  he might be able to develop over the course of a season, he at least caught the ball on punt returns securely
