I've always thought the rotation thing was horseshtein.  Get four guys who can play three downs and stick with them.  If one of them gets hurt or needs a blow, then fine, substitute his ass.  I can't stand the "specialist" mentality that Johnson espouses.

All that says to me is they don't have players who can play the rush and pass equally well.

exactly. it sounds great sometimes like oh wow we have pass rushing specialists but all that says is they are undersized speed guys who cant other wise stop the run. i mean you would think by now....9 yrs into Reid's regime he and the defensive coordinator would have realized "hey we get run over all the time and our blitzing is no longer effective...maybe just maybe we should get a run stopping DT and some LBs who actually are good LBs.".

where is that al wilson rumor when you need it?
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Al Wilson and Simeon Rice. Two injured vets on the downside will fit right in!

But in all honesty, Rice hurt or not can't be worse than Kearse has been, can he?
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Thats exactly right. Real Pro-Bowl lineman don't need to be subbed for.

It's my firm belief that this team's management wants as few Pro-Bowl types on defense as possible. Those guys are expensive. If you get a bunch of good players.....that means the defense must be good.

didn't AR send Rice's ass home during the Pro Bowl practice week several years ago?  Rice showed up late with an attitude and AR said "Aloha Oe Baby".

What would you call the Jevon Kearse signing?

He did do that. Don't know if there are still any hard feelings.

38 rushing attempts, 48 passing attempts.

Just in case no one noticed.

i wouldnt put much stock into that....cobb threw the ball about 1000 times cause andy wanted him to get work...doesnt mean andy isnt going to come out and throw it 50 times in the opener...but the steeler game isnt a fair indicator of that

I would call it sarcasm.

I'm not too worried about Brown.  Everyone has their bad nights.  If I were to make a list of things I'm worried about on this team just on the offensive side of the ball, Reggie Brown repeatedly dropping passes would rank about 47th.

That said, the FO's stubbornness and refusal to address the LB position has cost us another season.  I don't have a problem with trying to convert Gocong into an OLB....I have a problem with not going out and getting any insurance (other than another rookie) in case he can't learn the position.  There simply isn't any way we go anywhere in the playoffs, unless he steps it up quickly.  Pittsburgh dinked-and-dunked on us all night, and they're not even really a passing team.  What the hell is a team like New Orleans going to do???

thats crazy....the eagles arent a good enough drafting team to have the luxury of taking a project and then spending another pick on his replacement in case it doesnt work out...thats not realistic....

they should be smart enough to know that the guy wasnt ever going to be an nfl linebacker to begin with...but again its the god complex in andy...instead of turning water into wine he will turn div II de's into sams

Word.

Andy needs to try drafting a linebacker who can actually play LB... before he goes and tries to get guys from other positions to play LB.

Gaither's about as close as he's gotten in his entire time here.
