i think we all know deep in our hearts that andrews is out for the season.

Deep in our hearts? How about right in the middle of our brains and biling up the back of our throats?

there too.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Career-ender, probably.  In Scott Young we trust.

God, I just wonder how Jerome McDougle feels about all this.

Update:
Just found this on ComacastSportsnet

QuoteThe Point After
A usually mild-mannered Shawn Andrews spoke jokingly and seriously about his right ankle injury on Wednesday.

The Eagles continue to say that the injury isn't serious and Andrews, who is in a walking boot, is "day-to-day." But Andrews was very evasive when discussing it.

"I don't know what to think right now," Andrews said. "Just rehabbing, trying to rest it, stay off of it."

Andrews called his discussion with a specialist a "tear-jerker."

"I don't know what the future holds," he said.

Andrews was later asked if surgery may be required or that the injury could possibly be career-threatening. He wouldn't comment. On several different occasions, Andrews declined to discuss specific details about the injury because "Coach Reid would probably smack me."

When Andrews was asked whether he would be ready for the season opener, he never gave a definitive answer.

Sounds to me like Andrews was having some fun. If it was career or season ending, I doubt he would be so light hearted about it.

if the farging banner/reid gestapo would actually release what the real problem is then perhaps people wouldnt over react

this isnt a week before the superbowl where you have to hide shtein...farging have a press conference and truthfully go over his injury...why is that so hard for them

If it was serious, career threatening, or even season ending it would require surgery.  These types of surgeries are usually scheduled quickly to shorten the rehab time.  So, since there is no word on surgery, me thinks this is a TATE over-reaction.

I hope it is.  But what is he talking about "tear jerking" for?  Is he that sensitive?

The BIGSTUD

Someone on the EMB said that Jaws was on Sirius and said a source close to the Eagles told him Andrews was done for the season and that it could be the same injury that ruined Garrison Hearst's career.

I have no idea whether or not it is credible though.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

actually its the exact opposite...the more serious and complicated the injury the more opinions they get to see what course of action to take

and it was clearly something serious the minute he was put in a walking boot and on crutches for what andy deemed a "sprained ankle"

its amazing with their pathetic history of offensive linemen that 15 minutes after they find a potential hall of fame guy he gets a career threatening injury

Agreed IGY, but all that happens quickly...not over the course of weeks...more like days.  If Dr. A says your shteins farged up (the technical terminology), the player is usually on a plane the next day to see that guy in Alabama (also named Andrews I believe).

I have had to wear a boot on my foot a couple of times as well for various things and I never needed surgery.  The boot is meant to stablize whatever may be going on down there.  Its not always a bad thing.

i know what the boots for but you put a boots on about one sprained ankle out of 100...trust me its not a sprained ankle...that much is clear

and when it comes to a career threatening injury trust me they arent worried about getting some surgery as quick as possible...they are gonna take their time and make the best decision possible...it could easily take weeks...in fact it already has

If it's a high ankle sprain, he'd be put in the boot.

That's what I would assume it was, if it wasn't for all the farging sneaking around and shtein the FO is doing.

OF course, it really could be a high ankle sprain and the "tear-jerking" news could be that they told Andrews he'd miss the first part of the season. He seems like the kind of cream puff that would cry over that.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the internet (at least with those 'exam' pics). In my opinion Shawn Andrews should see Dr. Andrews of Alabama for a consult. Dr Andrews is able to rapidly assess an injury and render a sound prognosis without pulling any punches.

one in 100??? I think it's a lot more then you think.  I know a lot of athletes, albeit, not on the professional level, that wore a boot after suffering an ankle sprain.  It's more common then you think.
