Agree, nice article. It gives a good behind the scenes look of that head coach fraternity - interesting how Parcells called Reid even when they were division rival HC's and got on AR to suck it up and keep moving

that field always looks terrible.  i wouldn't be surprised if they replace the grass with turf like New England did last year

I'm surprised Reid spoke so candidly He usually never reveals that sort of personal stuff to the media.

There's nothing wrong with the field.  And since Army/Navy isn't being played in Philly and Temple plays its last game there on November 17th, the field should be in good shape in December & January.

It must be about 6 years ago Billick cancelled the preseason game because the Vet turf was so bad. There are some things I miss about the Vet

you are correct sir!  down on the diamond head side of waikiki where they show the sunset on the beach movies.

I used to live in Manoa Valley. The movies were a goog time too if you got there early enough. Man sometimes i really miss that place!

went to school at punahou at the entrance to Manoa Valley.  beautiful place.  where did you live?

I lived about a 3 minute walk from the UH manoa campus... pretty much between that and the safeway/starbucks/ mcdonalds shopping center thing... cant remember what that plaza is called

I can guarantee you that as long as banner/lurie are in charge of the team, they will never play on anything other than grass. Both of them said that following the Akers game winner in wildcard weekend last year. I really hope they stick to that too!
