altho it switches pretty regularly i deem season 4 as the best year (nothing like four has ever been done in television history) but season 2 is my favorite

i cant fathom how the docks could bore anyone...chris bauer and pablo schrieber give arguably the two best performances in the history of the show and they both are dock workers
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

Nico was great, wife and i are one episode 3 of season 2.

Yeah he was.  I just found Ziggy to be mind numbingly annoying and basically the only character on the show to be a caricature.  I dunno I just was never as interested in the dock as Avon's organization, the school system, Carcetti, or now Marlo.

i thought i was going to hate season 2 also, because after learning so much about the characters in season one it seemed like it would only be a letdown learning these new guys, but after a few episodes i really liked it.  it's up there as one of the two best seasons for me also.

For my $$ best scene so far :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYj7q_by_2E&feature=related

i dont think i would put that in even my top 10 scenes but that is how great the show is and nothing at all against the courtroom scene which is an amazing 7-8 minutes

one of the most underrated lines in the shows history is early in that scene....where omar walks in strutting like the cock of the walk as mcnutty and some of the barksdale people look on

omar walks by the barksdale crew and points at them casually...smiling the whole time...and stringer mutters out the most venomous and frustrated piece of unintentional comedy ever...

"fa***ot..."

that looks horrible

Maybe its the horrible acting, music, and clips, but they should leave that crap to American Gangster, and Simon

that looks unwatchable

treme in like 3 months. there.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Watched the Avon/Marlo scene from season 5 and that scene rivaled one of the best scenes ever.

My favorite scenes in the show (probably forgetting many)
-Omar testifying
-Avon/Stringer on the roof
-Chess scene with D
-Wallace's death/D going nuts about it
-Brother Mouzone/Omar conversation in the alley
-Both of them v. Stringer
-Cutty talking shtein to the drug dealer when he's trying to talk to Michael before getting shot in the leg (I know it's a minor scene but he's still badass in it)

Ok so I have no life tonight and I've been binging on the wire.  ARE YOU fargING SERIOUS ABOUT KILLING OMAR OFF LIKE THAT?  Jesus farging christ.  I know the show doesn't like to dramatize things but that's just wrong.  Worst death ever.  I understand the irony of it and maybe I just wanted him glorified more, but give me a break.  Every other major character went out better (besides maybe D).  Compare his death scene to Stringer and Bodie's or Prop Joe.  You can't tell me that he deserves that.

I thought it was pitch perfect.  It's a succinct commentary on the game.  All it takes to erase the king is that when you come at the him you best not miss.  Even if you don't know he's the king.

couldnt agree more...killing off the gamest cat out there in such a simple unhyped way is what its all about...anyone can get got...especially if youre slippin at all...omar was clearly losing his edge...all the blood on his hands took its toll and boiled over when butchie got killed...once he went back to bmore you knew it was over...he became reckless and uncaring and lost his edge

plus i like the added touch of kenard doing him as he was one of the little kids imitating omar after tosh got killed in the stashhouse robbery gone bad...btw its little stuff like that you pick up after watching the series for a 3rd 4th 5th....time
