Section 111 where my seats are we have the same issue.  Different people in front of us and behind us every friggin week.  Ususally the people behind us are the types that say "can you please sit down" to which the 15-20 regulars we have respond "farg you".  Its quite the scene.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

I have to admit I was moved as we headed to CBP for the first time on Saturday afternoon and walked past the parking lot where The Vet once stood.  Made sure my wife got tons of pictures.  She just didn't understand why I wanted pix of a parking lot.  It was great until I saw the plaque reminding me of the 2002 NFCG.

CPB is a great park to watch a game and I think that for baseball, it's 100x better than the Vet ever was.  The Vet was a football stadium that was used for baseball during the offseason.  I'll never shed a tear about never being able to watch the Phillies play in the Vet again but I will always cherish the memories I have of watching the Eagles there.

I said it then, I'll say it now. But there were more zesty memories at the vet than good ones. I wont forget either one...but i shed no tear for the vet.

Same can about basically every stadium the Eagles and Phils ever played in, or currently play in, dookie.

I think the big thing with the Vet vs the Linc is that the Vet truly was "our house."  It wasn't owned by a giant corporation and we were pretty much free to do what we wanted there.  We could hang signs where ever we wanted and could pretty much go to the bathroom where ever we wanted as well.  We could be drunk and obnoxious and nobody cared.

In the few times I've been to the Linc now (4 or 5 total) I never really got the feeling that I was walking on home turf.  Maybe it's just because I'm still generally unfamiliar with the layout and everything but to me, it just felt different.  At the Vet, we were like home owners.  At the Linc, we're more like tenants.  JMO.

Sarge,

No doubt that feeling was accelerated by moving into the new (and corporately named) stadium, but unfortunately things were trending that way, whether the team moved or not.

Heck, in the Miami stadium (whatever they're calling it this week), you're not really allowed to do anything.  Even for the dozen or so fans that go to the Marlins games.

I hear ya.  It's not just the newer venues that are getting corporate names tagged on them so I'm sure that even if the Vet still stood today, it would either currently have or would one day get a corporate name attached to it and there would then be stricter policies governing fan behavior inside.

Then again, what corporation in their right mind would want to purchase naming rights to the Vet?  The place was a friggin dump so maybe JP Mascara or some other local trash truck company would take it but that's about it.  :-D

The seats I have in 110 are so low that there's really no need to stand up but we still do and no one says a farging word to us.

The only time I've ever sat down was during the Seattle debacle two years ago partly from being freezing ass cold, partly because I was shtein-faced to the point of being a talking monkey, and partly because it was snowing so hard you couldn't see what was going on at the other end of the field anyway.

Other than that game, it's been a non-stop party every time I've been in those seats.  I can't imagine why there are so many iceholes in 111 yet so many cool people in 110.  I guess if I went to every game my perspective might be different, but because I only get to two or three games a year, I'm just happy to be there regardless.
