I want him to keep playing. My boy at work has a raging baseball boner for that guy. He hates JRoll (and yet is a Phils fan) but loves Reyes (and Eli Manning too, dudes on his FFL team every year).

Anyways I was listening to WFAN last night at work and they were killing Reyes and Randolph. It was funny.

MDS

They're up 3.5 games and the team trailing them is the Phillies. They have no cause for concern.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

DH

Mets about to get Luis Castillo for one AA and one A prospects.

I reiterate: the Mets have the trashiest fans in all of sports.

Coming from a Temple student that roots for all the Philly teams, I'll take that as an expert opinion.

MDS

Temple students on the whole are pretty trashy, but the garbage that comes out of Queens and Jersey that roots for the Mets in unchallenged by any other fan group.

QuotePedro throws off the mound in Port St. Lucie in a simulated game for 5.1 innings throwing 67 pitches, 50 for strikes, using all his pitches and said he felt better at the end than during the start of the game.

:yay

Homers from Wright, Easley (37-year-old with an ITP HR) and Reyes all lead to a blowout over the Brewers.

Onto the Cubs.

Mets and Cubs in a tight one.  Cubs just tied the game at 2-2 with a double by Jason Kendall in the bottom of the 7th.

Both Zambrano (who didn't last 6 innings) and Hernandez are now out of the game.

EDIT:  Zambrano left the game in the 6th due to "heat-related cramping."

Mets really lit up Ryan Dempster.

[IGY] Are you really scoreboard watching with the Mets? [/IGY]
