The owners may be away, but that didn't prevent the Eagles from completing a trade Monday night as the team acquired linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb from the Bills in exchange for defensive tackle Darwin Walker and a conditional draft pick in 2008. More details to follow...

I hate to mention this but this also means the Gocong experiment at LB is likely history.  Hopefully they'll use him as a situational pass rusher as he was meant to be used instead of shoehorning him into a spot where he didn't belong.

great observation.  i would much rather see Gocong just let loose like a caged animal on passing situations.  LB experiments scare me and this defense is in no position to be playing Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Takow Spikes a Philly Eagle! Awesome deal. However I rather them get Rayburn, and Walker stay around for depth, but that would of been a steal.

I love Spikes. He may or may not be the same player he was yrs ago but he automatically gives us a huge upgrade on defense and another veteran presence. Well done
