Lohse is a FA after this season. Giving up Bourn for Lohse would be bone-headed.

Obviously, Burrell isn't going anywhere. But how sweet would it be if they could unload him for even a marginal pitcher considering all the money that is coming off the books for the Phils at the end of this season. But no GM could be that dumb, unless Wade was recently hired somewhere.

I'm with Phreak, I would love an outfield of Bourn/Rowand/Victorino. A top of the lineup of Victorino, Bourn, and Rollins with Utley and Howard driving them in is boner-inducing.

There haven't been a lot of rumors out there, so it should be interesting to see what happens. But right now, I'm not all for a rent-a-pitcher. The Phils might as well just go with what they have instead of give up Bourn, especially since he is so vital late in games for his defense and has the opportunity to steal a bag anytime he gets on base late in games.

Matt Morris' from the Giants has been tossed around a bunch, Phillies were supposedly scouting him last night in SF. I wouldn't give up Bourn for him.

If all you expect to trade away at the deadline is crap, then all you will get in return is crap.

You want a solid pitcher at the deadline, you are giving away Victorino, Bourn, or (to a much lesser value) Rowand.

Joe Kennedy and Josh Towers have been mentioned. From what I've read, I would mind a Kennedy for Bourn swap, he seems like a Ryan Madson type. I know preciesely dick about Towers.

id give away victorino in a cocaine heartbeat if it meant getting a quality pitcher....but one that will be in the rotation next year...thats my big concern...im struggling to see how next years rotation isnt going to be a complete disaster

Kyle Lohse, Josh Towers, Matt Morris, Joe Kennedy & whatever other shteinbag losers they are scouting are all pieces of garbage.

I would not deal Victorino or Bourn for any of them. And if Gillick does so he should be maimed with a claw-hammer. Everyone wants a difference making pitcher. There aren't any available and even if they were the Phils would have to pay outta the ass because GMs want too much in return.

If they can get someone by stealing them , so be it. Give up Golson or Moran from Reading and maybe get a BP arm. That would be fine. Not going to happen though.

Giants: Scouts from the Phillies and Braves were spotted at the Giants game on Tuesday, presumably to check out starting pitcher Matt Morris or reliever Steve Kline. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the Phillies' trade talks only include Burrell.

Bourn really isn't special. He's a left handed singles hitter who sucks at baserunning. Sure he's fast, but he's expendable. Get off his scrotum because he can run well.
