I turned the TV on right as Victorino hit it. They barely won 2/3 from a putrid Cardinals team, and Alf almost blew it in the ninth. This team is a train wreck.

Manuel is a moron, also. He's not holding Moyer and Eaton off for the Mets series, they'll both pitch as scheduled Wednesday and Thursday against Cinci. That means Hamels and 3 fill-in starters (Kendrick Sunday, Madson for 3-4 innings in a DH game, Mike Pelfrey saturday) against the Mets. If they win 1 I'd be pleased. This team is just stupid.

Bourn is a pretty bad player.  If we lose Rowand and replace him with Bourn we are probably going to have a pretty bad offense next year.

Really, I was hoping the A's would continue the Mets freefall instead of getting swept.  Now the Mets get a 4 game set against struggling STL before playing the Phillies AA pitchers.  Should be a disaster.  We'll see.

Went to the Cards/Phillies game thisa afternoon.  Long freaking afternoon, it was.  And because I had my kids with me, it was a no-drinking afternoon. 

The intentional walk of Howard will be questioned all night and tomorrow by the St. Louis sports radio crowd.

Anyway -- question about Antonio Alfonseca.  Is six fingers evolution, de-evolution, or just a freaking freak-show attraction?
