Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I haven't seen much of the game, but the home plate umpire's been squeezing both Romero and the Cubs pitchers off the sides of the plate.  They're getting nothing.

And then he just called strike one on Ruiz that was at his shoe tops.  There was one to a Cub batter like that, too.

Horrible umpiring.

Myers is pitching like he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Phillies load the bases in the top of the ninth and get zip.

Cubs load the bases in the bottom of the ninth and win on a farging wild pitch.

Yep - sounds about right.

When Howard's in one of these disastrous slumps the best thing he could do is stand at the plate with his bat on his shoulder. Pitchers know not to give him anything close and taking a walk every other AB is much better than striking out on pitches that aren't even close.

I actually got my hopes up after Myers K'd Kendall. Silly me.

Yeah when he falls he falls hard. He's swinging at crap in the dirt. He just needs to stand there, lock in on a zone, and only swing if it comes within that zone. He just needs to be in a protect mode and get on base. A lot of pitches aren't even coming close yet he's swinging wild. That's frustrating.

Since the back-to-back HBPs last week where Utley got hurt, Howard is 4/24 with 13 Ks and 0 HRs.

I don't even sweat these slumps by him. Its going to happen to power guys. It just so happens it is magnified because Utley is gone now. Perhaps he's pressing to do too much, who knows. But he looked dreadful on several pitches. But he will bust out of it.

His defense is what is atrocious and annoys me. In game two he let that grounder from Floyd get under his glove and it sparked a rally. Last night he dicked up that throw. Everytime I see him try to make that 3-6 throw I cringe. His throwing motion leaves much to be desired...stop farging Kent Tekulveing it over there from chrissakes.

And the LOBs and non RISP hitting last night was offensive.

The Kyle Lohse era begins today. Are you ready?!?!?
