the only 2 things i've ever ordered from the menu at outback are the bloomin onion and the alice springs chicken.

grilled chicken breast smothered with cheese and bacon.  it's pretty hard for anyone, including a chain resturant, to farg that up.

their bread is pretty damn good too, i'll give them that.

I was browsing through the book "Eat This, Not That" in Target yesterday and saw that those Bloomin' Onion things have like 2700 calories.  :o

ice grillin you

i got a one a couple months ago at outback...it was my first visit there in years and years but it seemed to me to be incredibly small compared to what it was...and i think the sauce it comes with is better than the actual bloomin onion...it tastes like the burger king onion ring dippin sauce

Where do you think the suits at BK got the idea?

Rome

Doubtful. More like Howie Roseman. He evaluated the tape, recipes and pitched the idea.

My chick is cooking some Peruvian food today. It's on!

That's what I usually get. The g/f likes it there and there's one on her way home from work so it's win/win.

I'm going to eat at La Bec Finn within the next month or so. I'm sure it'll be the greatest meal ever.

seriously le bec fin sucks...incredibly small portions of not that great food...if youre gonna spend that much anyway go spend it on the tasting menu at vetri

I have $300 in gift certificates so it's not costing me a dime. The food sucks? I know fancy restaurant portion sizes are small but they're usually packed with flavor. Do you know the dress code? I can't find it on their website. What I really want to know is if it's business casual or do I have to wear a tie.

ice grillin you

i dont know for sure but id say its business casual

you wouldnt be out of place in a suit tho

the food itself doesnt suck i just think the price to food ratio sucks...full disclosure tho i am not a huge fancy french food fan...i love bistro type food but not so much what le bec fin does...cant go wrong with a gift certificate tho

French food farging sucks.  If it's free then fine but farg that tiny portion cream laden "we surrender" horseshtein.

Nope...but she was barefoot and throwin down some delicious stuff today. Beef, onion, tomatoes, rice, spices and some good Peruvian beer.

I used my cheat day wisely today.

Mimi's Cafe has good eats for a chain joint.  Especially breakfast.
