Cory Schlesinger to the Dolphins....2-yr deal

That Fowler guy signed an offer with the Eagles.  The Cowboys have 7 days to match (no compensation).

what do we know about Fowler?  I remember he was a hell of a special teams player.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

PoopyfaceMcGee

He's a career special teamer with delusions about starting some day.

Guess who?

QuoteI'm sick of your whining ... The Eagles offense is going to be outstanding and you know it.

QuoteHow many times do I have to explain this ... the Eagles have a great young core signed for many, many years. By signing these young players, they have secured the talents for years. The Eagles don't need to do out and overspend for FA talent. You know the philosophy. Stop your whining. Such a bunch of give-up fans.

QuoteFirst, let me tell that you what I say here is from my perspective. Don't characterize them as "lies" or I will end this forum in one minute. I working my a** off to be here so I don't need to be ridiculed.

That said, I'm totally speechless. If the report is true on the contract, I'm speechless. I can only think that Stallworth spurned the Eagles' offer to sign in New England. The explanation would have to come from Stallworth.

Mike Doss called into WIP about 40 minutes ago with Rob Charry and Hugh Douglas...

-- Wants to play with Dawkins, loves how Dawkins plays
-- Wants to get back into a system where he can blitz, do man-to-man, fly around and be a playmaker unlike the Cover 2 in Indy...thinks he'd be a great fit here
-- Loves the Philly atmosphere and fan support and the whole "Rocky" thing....says he's been watching "Invincible"
-- Visited Tampa Bay and was frustrated with the physical they gave. Also received a few calls from other teams showing a little interest.
-- Has been through an aggressive rehab the last 4 months to show teams that he can still play, and he worked out at the Ohio State pro day recently to go through the same drills
-- Sitting back and letting his agent (Tom Condon) negotiate a fair deal for both sides but wants it to be with the Eagles
-- When asked about being allowed to travel to the Super Bowl, citing Andy Reid's policy on IR players not travelling, said he was allowed to go and take pictures and participate but he wasn't allowed on the field
-- Says he's won titles at every level he's played (McKinley High School, Ohio State, Indianapolis)
-- Says he's currently working to finish up his undergrad degree at Ohio State, has a final and a couple of classes left that he hopes to finish this summer

Rod Hood is expected to call in within the next hour...

Les Bowen:

QuoteThe Eagles have signed Cowboys linebacker Ryan Fowler to a restricted free agent offer sheet, Fowler's agent, Alan Herman, told the Daily News today.

Herman said Fowler stands to make $4 million in the first season of the 4-year deal, which he said would ultimately pay about $10.5 million. Since Fowler is stuck behind middle linebacker Bradie James in Dallas, Herman said he doubts the Cowboys will match the offer.

TexasEagle

The mind numbing stupidity of this team's FO has reached a level so absurd it's beyond all levels of human comprehension. All that money for a Special Teamer while Stallworth walks for peanuts. farging awesome.

SD_Eagle5

I hope the Cowboys match

The BIGSTUD

You do realize the Cowboys matching does nothing, right? If the Eagles lose out on who they want they don't go to plan b. They just move on with what they have. So if we don't get Fowler, then it is Dhani Jones and Gocong.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

SD_Eagle5

You expect Fowler to come in and contribute to the LBs? I don't, I expect to see him as a solid ST player. That's it.

The BIGSTUD

The Eagles obviously see him as a starter down the road.
