I'm not saying he isnt...i mentioned he possibility of it...but you have no proof that he is...just because he posts on this subject over and over doesnt mean he doesnt believe in the cause...and even if he doesnt why would it ever bother you...the message seperate from the poster is right on....and thats enough for me

I'm sure that dude believes in his cause. The problem is that he is psychotic & I don't mean that in the lame message board smack sense either.

How is his message "right on"? Everyone here can agree that we don't like scalping, the Eagles ticket office is not organized, choosing Razorgator as an advertising partner was not a good marketing move & that the internet has made it easier for season ticket holders to dump their tickets, thereby not giving them reason to not renew.

His main argument is that the Eagles are funneling tickets meant for those on the waiting list to Razorgator instead & receiving a piece of the profits. Both of those statements have not been proven and are part of his paranoid psychosis. When you tell him that his theory is unproven, he claims you are unintelligent & a Lurie lapper. Hey, if he can prove that, I'll walk down Broad St with him carrying a pitchfork too, but right now it's pure conjecture being spouted by a guy that's not right in the head to begin with.

If he really wants to effect change, he needs to address the scalping problem with the State Attorney General, not create some kind of unproven conspiracy crusade through message boards. As I said to him earlier, it's a major league sports issue, not an Eagles specific issue.

whether its direct funneling or not is kind of irrelevant...the eagles are partnered with razor gator and are allowing huge blocks of tickets to be scalped on its site and doing nothing about it

however if i get caught scalping tickets in the parking lot or on ebay or in the newspaper then i lose my season tickets on the spot

they also have still not published an official waiting list...ive yet to see a single person on said waiting list come out and say they got tickets...the eagles do not have a 100% renewal rate on season tickets...no one does....perhaps there are people out there that were on the waiting list and now have season tickets and we just havent heard from them...however i tend to believe that any tickets the eagles do come upon go to razorgator and/or these $4500 special package seats or whatever they are

do i have direct proof of this happening no...but the whole razorgator thing is enough for me to believe theyd do that in a heartbeat

and for the record they are far from the only team that does this kind of garbage...but myself and tee tee dont care about other teams

I'm making fun of him.  I've been making fun of him for over a year now.

You, on the other hand, are too farging stupid to recognize that he has no real interest in this issue other than riling up people on a message board.  Come to think of it, that's precisely your function here, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that you'd agree with him or support his "cause."

That's a question I have yet to see answered by anyone directly. For a few years I was getting my tickets from an agency that owned huge blocks of seats at the Vet & subsequently at The Linc. They used to charge me about a 300% markup & I could never understand why that was legal.

I called that agency today & found that you have to be licensed by the state to sell tickets above face. I would assume that these websites are either licensed or since they are sitused outside the state, they are legally able to resell tickets. Due to the high risk of counterfeit tickets/payments, scalping by unlicensed individuals on E-bay & outside the stadium is illegal, which is why it's part of the policy printed on the tickets.

Scalping by licensed agents is legal in PA and therefore the Razorgator marketing partnership is not in violation of the Eagles no scalping policy, designed to deter scalping by non-licensed individuals.

While I don't like it, these websites are legal & are going to thrive regardless of whether NFL teams form ad partnerships with them or not. The teams are probably thinking the same thing, so they are going to at least make some money off their ad revenues.

Direct funneling of non-renewed season tickets to these agencies is completely relevant, as it takes this issue from being an unpopular, yet legal partnership, to an arrangement that is unethical & possibly illegal. IMO, I don't think the Eagles are doing this, because the small profit they would generate in comparison to what they earn via other partnerships, is not worth the risk.

If teeteelafoofoo can uncover this conspiracy, I'll carry his squirrely ass on my shoulders to the court room.

ice grillin you

i guess what im saying is the eagles allowing razorgator to mark up huge blocks of tickets on their site IS funneling tickets...they know about and are in bed with it and yet still allow it....but just because they didnt physically hand them the tickets to do it makes it not so bad??....i dont buy that

and i dont a flying farg about state county city township or even any federal scalping laws...it should be against eagle laws to allow scalping...its one thing to not enforce this but to actually be in bed with it and then perpetrate the fraud that is the waiting list....its sickening and if they would do all that right IN YOUR FACE how could you think they wouldnt directly funnel tickets to razor gator...thats not a huge leap...

seems to me to say that youll only really care about this issue is if you can be shown direct funneling is going on is pretty disingenious imo...or maybe you just dont care that much about it...which is cool...im not trying to pretend that i lose sleep over all this...but you cant say youd storm the linc if there was evidence of direct funneling and at the same time not really care about what is going on now

You're right, I don't really care about this issue that much because this is the same type of scalping that has been handled by licensed ticket agencies/brokers long before these type of sites popped. Not saying it's right but it exists & it's something that we have to deal with. Before now, fans would sell their unused tickets to ticket brokers, who would perform the same function that Stubhub does now. I'm not advocating it, just saying that what they are doing is legal & it is just a different face for what existed already. It's also a face that the Eagles can get ad revenue from & whether they are "going to be in bed with them" or not, they are going to be there. Nothing has changed & I still need to buy my tickets from a third-party the same as I did in the 90's. Only now I'm doing it via the internet, instead of going to a business place.

Having the Eagles provide unrenewed season tickets to these sites instead of the waiting list is something totally new & I would have a problem with, which is hardly hypocritical.

They're already taking seats that go unrenewed and placing them in the "VIP" pool which requires you to purchase the $285 tickets with all the bullshtein no one wants.

I have a problem with that as well.  But you know what... I don't own the Eagles, so what's the point of me getting infuriated over something I have no control over?

Munson

I heard the Eagles drafted a QB and are going to trade McNabb.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

If you have hard proof showing that the Eagles are funneling seats to Razorgator that should otherwise go to people on a waiting list.......
Sorry, I have to catch up on all of the cheap shots and unintelligent comments, I've been away for a few days.

But since some people were still looking for proof.  RazorGator is now selling 20 standing room only tickets for the Eagles home opener.  There are 4 different auctions already for SRO tickets.

Did SRO tickets go on sale already and I missed it????   NOPE.  Funnel, sell and under the table payback.  And repeat.

You think the Waiting List people might have been interested in some of those seats?  Oh by the way the SRO's face was like $50 or $60 last season.   On the EAGLES PARTNER site, you can grab one from $146-$170 EACH.

I for one am fascinated. Bump bump bump!
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I have a hard time believing that you are this legitimately riled up about this issue. I have to believe that your reasons for pushing this are not motivated by wanting to "help the real fan" & are probably more selfish.

Instead of flailing away with your impotent crusade on internet message boards, you should devote your energy petitioning your State Representative or Attorney General to outlaw scalping.
I really am all that riled up.  It all started a few years ago when the girl who delivers my mail said she really wanted to go to a game but the prices were absurd.  As I started to look into the issue more and more things started happening.

1.  The wait list fiasco
2.  The RazorGator connection
3.  The Daily News story

I have already been in contact with Arlen Spector, the Gov and a few members of city council.

WHY?????  You may ask.  Cause I love going to games and think that fathers and sons should be able to get tickets from the Eagles at face.  Because I find it disgusting that the Eagles would spit in the faces of all the people on the wait list and still deal rows of tickets to scalpers.

That's why.  Joe Banner was actually insulted when he was asked about it, like the Eagles have to god given right to screw the fans whenever they can.

Most people send me PMs or emails and ask if they can help or what else I have figured out.  I just play with the message board members who just want to attack.  It is a real issue and when I see all of those OTHER team jerseys in our stadium, it pisses me off.
