i dont really care who the manager is when youre 40 games under .500

it took them one year of contending to realize they werent going to win anything meaningful with that loser as manager...and they had the guts to do it with two weeks left in the season...means they will do almost anything to try and win...first sabathia now this

phillies have been trying to get over the hump for four years and wont do anything to make themselves substantially better

I wasn't even discussing the phils there. I don't see how that's relevant. They aren't owned by the same group.

This wasn't a "try and win" now move...this was a white flag move, and a last gasp desperation move because being cheap and 1 player could not save their season.
